Good evening parents, family members, friends and teachers and

welcome to the 2014 Year 12 Graduation Ceremony.
We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands
from across Queensland and pay our respects to the leaders both past,
present and future for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture
and hopes of Indigenous people across the state.
Tonight we mark a significant moment in the lives of a remarkable group
of people, our 2014 Year 12s.
To begin this evenings festivities we would like to showcase an example
of the many talents this cohort has to offer. Please welcome to the
stage Beth Angrove and Amber Ramsay singing Sweet Disposition
and they will be accompanied by Kriza Canzon on piano.

Thank you for that beautiful performance. I would now like to invite our
College Executive Principal Dr Regan Neumann to give his address.

Mrs Richards:

Thank you Dr Neumann. Our college captains for 2014, Sophie Ross
and Sidara Engelhardt, along with vice captains Elise May and Jeremy
Ridsdill-Kenny have worked tirelessly to support their peers and ensure
that this cohort would be memorable for all the right reasons.
It is with bittersweet pride that we now invite Sophie and Sidara to give
their final address.

It is now that time of the year when we, as college captains, give our
final speech in front of our fellow KG students.

We would now like to introduce the 2015 College Captains, Kalani

Armstrong and Rebecca Bomgaars, and Vice Captains Nicholas
Cruickshank and Jez Miller to the stage to take over the role that we
have enjoyed so much.

There are six student receiving a very special gift tonight in recognition of
completing 12 years of schooling at Kelvin Grove. I ask the following
students to make their way to the stage to receive their gift, which will be
presented by College Executive Principal Dr Regan Neumann.

Thank you Ms Tapsall. We appreciate the dedication and enthusiasm

which all the teachers at our college put into the students learning
experiences.

13. Vote of thanks and College Song

Kalani:

Genuine thanks to everyone who has contributed to this special

graduation ceremony that honours each Year 12 student. Thank you
especially to Dr Neumann, Mr Steel, Mrs Richards, Mr Smyth and Mrs
Tapsall. Thanks also to Mr Todd and the stage crew for all their
assistance in this most significant occasion.

Kalani:

Thank you also to those staff and students who have assisted with

performances, technical support and marshalling. Thanks to all those

parents and family members who have joined us on this all important
occasion.
