1. COMPATIBILITY WITH PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF LOGPLOT
The LogDesign file format (LDFX) has been updated. LP should be able to read
all older LDF files but saving is only to LDFX.
The format of the LogPlot graphical files (LPT) has been updated. LogPlot
and LogView will still read files created in 2001 through 2005 but they will not
be backwards compatible.
2. HIDING THE LOG DESIGNER WINDOW
You can hide the Log Designer window from users by modifying the
following key in the Windows Registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RockWare\LogPlot7\DesignerVisible
A Data Value of 0 hides the Log Designer from the user and a Data
Value of 1 will make it visible again.
3. LOGVIEW - LOG VIEWING APPLICATION
LogView is a free stand alone application that can be used by your
clients and collaborators for viewing and printing compiled LogPlot
log files (LPT). There is now an option in LogPlot to compile log files
with the patterns, symbols and bitmaps imbedded. While this will make the
resulting files larger, it is highly recomended since only 1 file will
need to be distributed. Otherwise if you've modified your keyword, pattern
or symbol files you'll need to distribute them separately.
Since the scaling, header information, page setup and paper orientation
is stored in the log files it may make it easier for your clients if
the logs are compiled with your user's printer driver.

5. NEW FEATURES
The LogDesign is now saved in an XML format which should make it easier

to add
new features and allow users to recover if the file is corrupted (up to
a certain point).

Undo capability added
The file manager tree allows you to quickly open, view and compile logs.
It also
provides direct access to RockWorks 2006 MDB files.
Option to calculate the scale based on the number of depth units on the
first page.
Wrapped curves are now truncated at the minimum value.
