Regia 4-fdig, (75 % wool, 25 % nylon; 50 g /
210 m), 100 g
Gauge
30 stitches and 42 rows stockinette = 10 cm
Needles
Set of 5 double pointed needles, 2,5 mm or
according to gauge
Cable needle or one extra needle for turning
cables
Size
Woman EUR 36 (38, 40) Size is adjusted by
selecting heel starting point. If you prefer
shorter leg portion you can leave one chart
repeat out.

Directions
Left sock
Cuff
Cast on 68 stitches and join to begin working in the round, being careful not to twist. Work 4 cm
twisted rib: [k 1 tbl, p 1 tbl].
Leg
Divide stitches to 4 needles as follows: 1 needle 12 sts 2 needle 25 sts, 3 needle 16 sts, 4 needle
15 sts. First sts on 1 needle should be p. Round ends always in side of the leg. Work one round
*p1, k3*. Continue established pattern on needles 1, 3 and 4 and work 2 according to chart.
Repeat rows 5 to 32 of the chart 2 times, on third repeat continue until you reach the heel mark to
match your size.
Heel
Work stitches from needles 3 and 4 onto one needle; heel flap will be worked back and forth on
these stitches.
Next row [RS]: sl 1, k2, [p1, k3] repeat to the end of the row.
Next row [WS]: sl 1, p2, [k1, p3], to end
Repeat these 2 rows 15 times more.
Next Row [RS]: sl1, k2, [p1, k3] 3 times, p1, k2, ssk, k1. Turn work.
Next Row [WS]: sl1, p6, p2tog, p1. Turn work.
Next Row [RS]: sl1, k7, ssk, k1. Turn work.
Next Row [WS]: sl1, p8, p2tog, p1. Turn work.

Gusset
Slip last 9 sts of previous row onto one needle; continuing with this needle, pick up and k 16 sts (1
st in each slipped st) along edge of heel flap and 1 sts between heel flap and held sts, resulting 26
sts on needle 4.
Work sts on needles 1 and 2 in established pattern, continuing chart where you left it before
starting the heel. Using next needle, pick up and k 1 st between held sts and heel flap, pick up and
k 16 sts along edge of heel flap, k first 10 sts of heel flap. 27 sts. There are 90 sts in total.
K to last 2 sts on Needle 4, k2tog; work all sts on Needle 1 and 2 in established pattern; ssk, k to
end of Needle 3. 2 sts decreased. Repeat decreases on every second round 11 times. 15 sts rem
on Needle 4, 12 sts on Needle 1, 25 sts on 2 , 16 sts on 3; 68 sts in total.
Instep
Continue in established pattern; working sts on Needle 3 and Needle 4 in stockinette st and sts on
Needle 2 and 3 in established pattern until you have full 5 chart repeats ending with row 32 in
chart.
Toe
Work final row of the chart. Sts marked with * are worked as follows: Slip 3 sts on the cable needle
in front of the work. Sl 1 st as if to knit from cable needle, k2tog from left needle, pass slipped stitch
over. [Slip one sts as if to knit from cable needle, k1 from left hand needle and psso], twice. 4 sts
decreased. Move last 4 sts from needle 2 to 1.
Next round (decrease round): k1, ssk, k to end of needle 1; k to last 3 sts on needle 2, k2tog, k1;
ssk k to end ; work to last 2 sts on needle 4, k2tog. Next round: k.
Repeat these 2 rounds 4 times more. Continue decreases on each round until you have 24 sts left.
Move sts on needles 1 and 2 to one needle and sts on 3 and 4 to another. Break yarn and graft sts
together.
Right Sock
Right sock is worked as mirror image to the left one.
After cuff divide sts as follows: 1 needel 16 sts, 2 needle 15 sts, 3 needle 25 sts and 4 needle 12
sts. Make sure that fist sts on needle 1 is knit. Work one row: [k3, p1] rib and work pattern on
needle 3. Round ends again at the inside of the leg.
Heel flap is worked on needles 1 and 2.
Toe: ssk at the beginning of needle 1, k2tog at the end of needle 2; k1 ssk beg needle 1; k2tog, k1
at the end of needle 4
