He had ten long years to prepare for it, and yet Rahul Gandhi turned up grossly undercooked for the first television interview of his political career.
Clearly, he had done some last minute mugging, memorising key words like RTI, youth, women and system, but for an interview that lasted almost
90 minutes bandying about those terms repeatedly could not earn him a pass grade.
Politics, like some examinations, is a cruel almost brutal past time. Rahul Gandhi was being honest and sincere when he said that he was not driven
by a thirst for power. But in that single admission, he also revealed why he remains unfit to hold high office.
Forget Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi did not appear convincing enough to be a Cabinet Minister, except perhaps for Youth Affairs or Womens
Empowerment. To succeed in politics, like in any other profession, a person needs to be driven, have a fire in the belly, a keenness to learn, a desire
to achieve, an ambition to rise to the top in rapid time. Rahul has none of those.
Perhaps more important than the fact that Rahul Gandhi doesnt possess those qualities is the fact that he doesnt perceive the need to try and
acquire them. That is the curse of his inheritance. He is born to lead the Congress party. The thought that he may one day be deposed for nonperformance would not have crossed his mind such is the servility of the party to the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty. Thus assured of a permanent leadership
position, win or lose makes little difference to Rahul. Even a huge political loss cannot ignite his fire.
Unlike most other politicians, Rahul Gandhi can afford to lose, just as he can afford to bumble through an interview. He can say that he will take full
responsibility for the defeat of the Congress because there are no consequences for him especially since he has no thirst for power. He is an
anomaly. To be fair, Rahul said as much. Except that he seemed proud of it.

Rahul Gandhi's problem: Why he can afford to be a loser | Firstpost

Rahul Gandhi in this file photo. AFP

It is not a matter of pride. It is a matter of shame that Indias oldest political party has a leader (make no mistake, he is the boss) who is not
interested in the rough and tough of politics and instead sees politics as a means to a slow discovery of himself (as a non-politician), quite unlike his
great-grandfather for whom politics was about the discovery of India. The law of diminishing returns has set into the dynasty.
The only thing Rahul Gandhi seems passionate about is opening up his party and the political system from its insular state. But again, he doesnt
recognise the contradiction of his democratisation drive if there is a monarch on top and several princes around him then what democracy is he
talking about? Perhaps only at the level of the Panchayat.
Rahul would be taken seriously if he offered to abdicate his political inheritance and worked instead as an evangelist for political reform (and
womens empowerment and youth affairs and freedom of information) in India. He seems like a nice guy with limited talent and a famous name. He
only needs to find the right profession.

guys according to latest surveys by all the channels even the conggi suckers like ibn and ndtv says modi would get 200-230 on
his own but more hard work should be done cause we need a clear majority for bjp and which is possible . work hard . should
convince each person you meet to vote for modi. i have decided to take 3 months off my work tor country you all should do the
same. you don't even have to join the party . like me you can promote it independently. desh se bada kuch nahi hai . 3 months of
your life can save future of coming generations :D jai hind.

In today's Business Line, Mr. Patrick French has written eloquently about how "The titled are not always entitled". Two-thirds of
current Lok Sabha MPs under the age of 40 already have a near relative in politics. A stunning nine out of ten Congress party
MPs under 44 are now hereditary, effectively having "inherited" a parliamentary seat. 15 out of 20 richest MPs in the present Lok
Sabha are hereditary, and 10 of those belong to Congress party. Time to vote for a proven leader, make the regional parties
defunct, and for Congress-Mukt Bharat Nirman.

To project a flop politician like Rahul Gandhi as Leader

Rahul Gandhi is there in politics mainly due to dynasty sycophancy of Congress supporters.
He was madea General Secretary of a national party without even demonstrating the administrative capabilities as a mayor of a
small city. It does not happen in
any truly democratic party. Rahuls only USP was that he belonged to Indias
first family, the Nehru-Gandhi family which has given the country three prime
ministers.
Rahul has till date given only few face-to-face on-record interview one given in 2005. He said he could have been prime minister
at 25 if he wanted. The uproar over the statement led him to deny it, but Rahul was right
The Reality is: His speeches wouldn't even stand a chance in front of 18 year old students, forget seasoned voters. Darbhanga,
Bihar students made Rahul eat crow.. "Main galti se Gujarat Bol diya... sorry" :)
The Reality is : He is incompetent. He loves to enjoy power from back door. Authority sans responsibility is a perfect gift handed
over to him and his mother by
sycophants, and why should he say no to that? His attendance in his work place
is pathetic. For instance UP's average MP attendance in Lok Sabha is 80%, while
Rahul Gandhi's is 42%. An average Uttar Pradesh MP participated in 32.1 debates so far this term of the parliament, while Rahul
attended a grand ONE debate! An average UP MP has asked 161 questions while Rahul is yet to open his account

During 84 Rahul was Kid ...he lost grandmother to insane Sikh bodyguard and there was killing all around. Rahul cannot be
blamed for this . His blue catholic blood did not seek revenge even for the Killers of his father. Against him stand a murderer Modi
who has presided over riots, rape and massacare of innocent muslim in his own state and city of Ahmedabad. By managing
witnesses he has gone scot free from clutches of Law for time being. He has tested blood and he send Amit Shah to
Mujjafarnager to do the same model.
Question is will India stand blind to fight between a Monk and Murderer.
