AUTOMATIC MONITORING FOR WORKERS HEALTHCARE IN TROPICAL CLIMATES

SYNOPSIS

This project is used to monitor the heart beat and temperature and pressure of a worker in the
industries and display it digitally in the LCD. In this project the parameters are monitored automatically
and stored in memory such that the doctor can check the data when he requires. The system is
developed by interfacing a heart beat sensor and a temperature sensor with a ADC which converts the
analog readings to digital, thus extracted digital data is processed using a microcontroller and stored in
the memory. Such that the data can be retrieved as when needed. The micro controller used here is
PIC16F877A, it has a inbuilt ADC and counters, the counter is used to count heart beat and ADC for
converting analog temperature to digital. In future the project can be developed as, for monitoring
more patients and data can be networked such that it shown in a single PC. The network connections
such as RS485, CAN and RS234 can be used.

REAL TIME SECURITY SYSTEM FOR INCUBATORS

SYNOPSIS

In this fast moving world, the transport plays an important role both the passengers and goods
are moved from place to place. With step increasing population the number of vehicles used for
transporting purpose has also been increased dramatically. More the number of vehicles in highways
have resulted in fatal accidents. Even government and other private organizations have taken steps to
decline the accident level it has not given any fruitful result. In order to prevent such accidents, this
project has been developed. The project continually monitors the vehicle speed in the highways and
gives a warning to the rider that he is exceeding the speed limit. The project automatically captures the
vehicle number with the camera such it will use full for highway patrolling department to catch the
person.

SYNOPSIS
This project is used to monitor the temperature of a child in the hospitals and display it digitally
in the LCD. These parameters are very important because it shows the body status of the child. At
present the parameters monitored manually and documented. But in this project the parameters are
monitored automatically and inform the status to the control room through RF technology. The system
is developed by interfacing a PIR sensor and a temperature sensor. The microcontroller used here is PIC
16F877A, it has an inbuilt ADC and counters. If the temperature of the child becomes low means the
microcontroller will turn ON the heater which is interfaced with relay and at the same time it inform to
the control room via RF transmitter.

SENSITIVITY INDUSTRIAL PARAMETER MONITORING BASED ON

BLUETOOTH TECHNOLOGY

SYNOPSIS

This project is used to detect the fire or power leakage it automatically give the warning signal to the
control room through Bluetooth technology. Here the smoke is sensed by using gas sensor (TGS312) and
fire is sensed by using (LM35). Fire sensor and power breakage is sensed by using normal bridge rectifier
power supply circuit and all the sensors outputs are connected to the micro controller. The micro
controller will process all the signals. If any one of the parameters exceeds the maximum level of micro
controller transmits the signal. In receiver section the microcontroller receives the corresponding signal,
buzzer is turned on to make warning sound and warning message is displayed in the LCD display. All the
data communication is done through the Bluetooth network.

SPEED CONTROL OF DC MOTOR USING BUCK

SYNOPSIS

In this project speed of a DC motor is controlled by using Fuzzy Logic technique, Dc motors have
permanent magnets where as the conventional motors have electromagnetic coils. The project is
developed using PIC 16F877A microcontroller which has an advanced RISC architecture. The fuzzy codes
are written in the software. A feedback from the motor is taken by using an infra red sensor, and a
keypad is used to enter the speed at which the motor should be rotated. A LCD is used to display the
values. All the activities are controlled by the micro controller. Since microcontroller is used here the
speed and the accuracy of the project will be higher.

SMART POWER FACTOR CORRECTION WITH MULTIPLE

CAPACITOR BANKS

SYNOPSIS

In power factor correction, the power factor is the ratio of true power to reactive power. The power
factor value is between0.0 and 1.0. If the power factor is above 0.8,the device is using power efficiently.
A standard power supply has a power factor of 0.70-0.75, and a power supply with PFC has a power
factor of 0.95-0.99. Capacitive power factor correction is applied to circuits which include induction
motors as a means of reducing the inductive component of the current and thereby reduced the losses
in the supply. There should be no effect on the operation of the motor itself. Here we develop this
system with a micro controller(PIC16F877A). The power factor of the load is calculated by reading
output of the current and voltage transducer. The values are displayed on a LCD .

REGULATOR FOR WIND MILL

SYNOPSIS

This project is used to monitor the variable parameters in a windmill like wind speed and direction. In
order to accompany this process special sensors are used. This project is very useful in estimating the
efficiency of operating power generating wind farms. Wind direction is caused by air pressure gradients
or the region between weather fronts, air moves in the direction of the low pressure system.
Additionally, wind direction is determined by many other factors including the Carioles effect, friction
and land topography. Wind operation is always given the direction the wind is coming from. The wind
direction sensor is a rugged yet light weight vane with a sufficiently low aspect ratio to assure good
fidelity in fluctuating wind conditions. Vane position is sensed by a precision conductive plastic
potentiometer located in a sealed chamber. With a known excitation voltage applied to the
potentiometer, the output signal is directly proportional to azimuth angle.

AUTOMATIC HEAD LIGHT INTENSITY CONTROL FOR VEHICLES

TO AVOID ACCIDENTS

SYNOPSIS

Now a days vehicle has become the essential means of transmission. The over brightness of the head
light at night times may lead to accidents of other vehicle which are so near and opposite to it, by
blurring the vision of that vehicles driver. Hence it is necessary that the headlights brightness must be
adjusted according to the distance of the vehicle in front. The system consists of an ultrasonic sensor
which measures the distance of the vehicle in front and based on the sensed distance the PWM duty
cycle is adjusted so that the headlights brightness is adjusted through the opto coupler circuit. This
system is made to function only at nights using LDR as this system is not needed at day time.

CAPTURING

SYNOPSIS

The purpose of the project is used for find out the human or intruder entry in industries, and also finds
fire hazards like power and gas leakages. In this project we are using PIR sensor to detect the human or
any other intruder movements in the industrial areas. If the sensor finds any movement it will give the
signal to microcontroller. The microcontroller will process the signal and send a security code to the RF
transmitter and also it captures the image of the intruder automatically by using web camera, the image
is stored in the PC which can be used for future references.
