Inaugurating the Birth Centenary

Celebrations of Late Eknathji at Delhi,
Honble Prime Minister recalled his memorable association with Man. Eknathji, and
the minute lessons in organizational work
which he learnt from his mentor as a
Swayamsevak. It was a deeply moving inaugural speech, rarest of its kind, as
though he was preparing a garland of
adoration for the departed leader. In conclusion he added that unlike many others
Eknathji did not stop with just fulfillment
in his life, he added another dimension to
it and made it more meaningful and purposeful through service to Motherland.
The message almost reflected the
inimitable message of Swami Vivekananda
"atmano mokshartham jagadhitaya ca".
We can equate the first half with fulfillment or saphalya and the second half
with purposefulness or sarthakata. Prime
Minister concluded his inaugural address
calling upon the assembled crowded
assembly of life workers, well wishers and

admirers of Man Eknathji, to pay attention to this new dimension possible in

human life so well illustrated by Eknathji.
As we know Eknathji went through indescribable challenges and difficulties to build the Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari which indeed is, a saga in
human effort, individual and collective. Every detail of the same was enumerated by Sri Modiji, but to the surprise of the audience, many of whom were not
aware of the trials and tribulations that Eknathji had to go through to erect the
monument. Nor did many realize the extraordinary close association that Sri.
Modiji had with Man. Eknathji
It brings to us a new awareness, of a new dimension we have to achieve
in our individual lives, not to remain satisfied with fulfillment alone but strain
further to reach out to the people, society and country through service, in what
ever way we can. That would lead to further expansion of our personality
which in turn would not only remove much of the stresses and tensions
acquired through our life's activities but also to help in usher in peace and
happiness especially in the evenings of our lives. That would provide us with a
beautiful evening glow as of the setting sun, which would be remembered forever by the next generation.

PROGRAMME AT DR PALPU MEMORIAL B.ED COLLEGE

To put knowledge into action one has to have the
capacity and will power to do so, and that is where yoga
comes into the picture, only then our personality expands',
said Mananeeya Krishnamurthyji or Annaji as he is lovingly addressed as, when he addressed the M.Ed. students
of Dr. Palpu Memorial College, Kodungallur, on 28th October. An interesting interaction was there after a two
hour lecture of Annaji where he spoke on relevance of yoga in education according to Swami ivekananda. Twentyfive students attended his class. Ananda dham was
blessed to have Annaji this time.
