The validity date relates to the Type Approval Certificate and not to the approval of equipment/systems installed.
If any person suffers loss or damage which is proved to have been caused by any negligent act or omission of Det Norske Veritas, then Det Norske Veritas shall pay compensation to such person for his proved direct loss or damage. However, the
compensation shall not exceed an amount equal to ten times the fee charged for the service in question, provided that the maximum compensation shall never exceed USD 2 million.In this provision Det Norske Veritas shall mean the Foundation
Det Norske Veritas as well as all its subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and any other acting on behalf of Det Norske Veritas.

The arrangement is to be in accordance with Certification Notes No. 1.2, dated December 1996,
paragraph 4.3.
Other conditions/comments
If the Minimum Design Temperature is less than 0 deg. C, Charpy Impact testing to be
conducted at or below design temperature with acceptance criteria of 20 ft-lbs. avg./13.3 ftlbs. minimum.
All NDE operators are to be qualified to Level II or better per SNT-TC-1A.
The client may specify inspection and/or documentation requirements in addition to the
approval conditions of this certificate in specific well control applications. In such cases,
those requirements are to be satisfied by the documentation which would accompany the
product or delivery.

Check List
1 Call customer and verify the applicable rules, regulations, codes and
standards, end user, service requirements, rig, etc.
2 Verify rig requirements.
3 Perform an initial review of the submitted documentation to determine
if additional documentation is required. If additional documentation is
required, inform the customer immediately. If significant progress can
be made without the additional documentation, proceed with the
review; otherwise proceed to working on another project.
4 Verify customers calculations and perform additional calculations as
necessary. (Check dimensions, stresses, allowable, safety factors,
etc.)
4a If review of Finite Element Analysis is involved, perform these
additional steps:
Verify type of analysis, computer program used, assumptions, etc.
Verify the units, geometry, member size, section properties, material
properties, boundary conditions, etc.
Verify the applicability of the analysis loads and load steps versus the
real life possibilities including worst cases.
Verify deflections (good check), stresses, and the stress allowable per
code.
5 Verify material requirements to meet the required codes.
6 Verify NDE requirements to meet the required codes.
7 Verify welding requirements to meet the required codes.
8 Verify testing requirements to meet the required codes.
9 Verify Quality Plan to meet the required codes.
10 Verify the applicable rules, regulations, codes, and standards.
11 Verify DNV file number, page numbering, equipment description, etc.
12 Verify assumptions
13 Verify conditions
14 Verify design limitations.
15 Verify the comments section and their applicability.
16 Verify the correct DVR distribution.
