catering, document management and logistics.

Functions

Summary of a number of central functions or shared processes applicable to all


products, which are part of the strategic level (strategic planning and controlling).
It includes Sustainability, Quality management, Risk management and Identity.

Summary
The Occupier Cost Index 2014 portrays the office costs per FTE for the most important European countries
based on the European FM standard EN 15221. It is based on data gathered from 3,500 buildings, over 32 million m2
and more than 1,65 million Full Time Equivalents (FTE). The index contains the costs of buildings, facilities and ICT
for one FTE during a single year. The average costs to establish an office in Europe amount to 9.005,- per FTE
per year. On the whole the office costs in Europe have decreased with 9%. Lower rents across Europe and a more
efficient use of the available m (less m per FTE) are the main reasons for the decrease. Almost every country
shows a decrease in office costs. Only Lithuania maintains the cost level of last year. Portugal and Hungary show
the biggest fall with respectively 12% and 11% compared to last years index. Similar to last year, the top 3 most
expensive countries are Norway, Switzerland and Sweden.
The Occupier Cost Index has been developed by Colliers International Corporate Solutions (formerly AOS Group)
and is presented on an annual basis.
