points per inch) and 4 colors (2 bit)
1.44MB per inch (higher density with more colors or dpi)
207MB per square foot or 414.7MB double sided
56.7GB per square meter or 113.3GB double sided
126.7MB per 8x11inch page or 253.4MB double sided
1 full feature movie storable on 3 double sided A4 pages
Can be read with high precision scanner

Interpreting Software

Formatting for printing: translates computer bytes (base 256)

to print pixels (base 4).

hello world

Compressed pure text blog 70KB

Once formatted for printing, can be used for ceramic or paper.
Scanning: identifying color of pixels
Formatting for computer: translates print pixels to computer
bytes.

Ceramic Archive Facilities

Soft padded floors and furniture exteriors in case of droping or

bumping.
Padding between ceramic tiles, in case of earth movements.
Or can make ceramic tiles with one side dedicated to padding
structure.
Padding can be from carbohydrates (plastics) or softer rocks.
Can be hybrid with paper archive facilities, using paper as
padding. though paper might turn to dust after a few
thousand years.
Archives can be burried in internally padded stainless steel
metal box.

Cost Analysis

An A4 8inch by 11inch page tile about $4.40, precoat $0.20,

ink cost $0.10, total 1 side 4.70, total double sided $5.00.
Ceramic printer cost $1500, so for first 100 A4 tiles $20 each,
for first 1000 A4 tiles $6.50 each.
Current hard drives at $50 per 500GB, $0.01 per 100MB, with
a half life of 6 years.
A paper copy shop can offer $0.07 per 100MB, so paper costs
less than magnetic drive for storage more than 70 years.
Ceramic tile currently costs less than paper for storage more
than 5,000 years.
In case of unpredictable weather or availability of copiers at
end of life, Ceramic tile is more dependanble.

Storing in Stone
Long Lived Ceramic Printer

Only requires clay, water and source of power.

Plate making component mixes water and clay and creates a
clay tile to imprint.
Printing component uses a pressing tool to make imprints in
the clay tile.
Pressing tool can be pin for binary, flat-head for cuneiform,
glyphs for typing.
Clay tile sent to firing component which turns clay tile into
ceramic tile.
Archivist component retrieves ceramic tile and stores in
archive.

Storing in Stone
Semantic Compression

For large volumes of information can use compression.

Semantic compression is basically a human and computer
grokable text summary.
Can store snapshots or video clips of new information, along
with summaries of repeated information.
Compression and summaries can be AI generated.
Summaries may include statistics, number of objects, what
was the average value, and so on.
Semantic Summaries also far more useful to anyone reading it
later
Compare watching raw surveilance video to text summaries
with clips of highlights.

Storing in Stone
Geopolymer Ceramics

Recently rediscovered ceramic creation process.

Low temperature firing (25C+) and stronger than ordinary
ceramics due to chemical reaction.
Can be made from readily available resources, clay, baking
soda and water.
Large amount of use in ancient history in massive long
standing strucutres such as the Pyramids and Tiahuanaco.
Can reduce cost per tile, and thereby increase cost effective
storage.
Easier to make a printer that also makes tiles from raw
materials.

Imagine yourself incarnated into technology based host body.

Some memories you wish to store long term.
That you can read when using different hardware in
potentially another body.
Set in stone, your memories will last through many hosts.
Maintaining continuity and stability.
