Work Experience
Worked as intern at Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), Mumbai
where I coordinated a conference on Medical textiles and prepared a project report on changing
scenario of retail and its effects.

Projects
Ongoing Project:
1. Evaluation of Indian government policy on Non-Conventional energy resources. It will include
the field work with ARTI, a Maharashtra based NGO involved in developing appropriate
technologies for sustainable development with expertise on Solar and Biogas technology.
Completed projects:
2. Study of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) as a market incentive for promoting clean
technology. It included a field work involving evaluation of a CDM project at TATA Steel Ltd.,
Jamshedpur for increasing the efficient use of energy using a Coke Dry Quenching technology.

3. Study of oil pricing in India and evaluation of Rangarajan Committee report in present scenario
focusing on Import Parity and Trade parity pricing. It also covered aspects of pricing post
refinery across various products of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
4. Study of causes and effects of Argentinean monetary crisis of 2001.
5. Study of service life of machines for optimal output with a case study on aluminium industry
6. Study of strategy of Airbus vis--vis Boeing in long haul aircraft market.
7. Study of changing nature of work with a case study of security services in IIT campus and the
emerging BPO sector.

2. Third prize in inter-collegiate debate competition at IT BHU business festival Opulence on
Corporate Social Responsibility in 2006.
3. Qualified regional mathematics Olympiad and chemistry Olympiad in 2004.
4. Second prize in Battlefield (Case Study competition) in the Megabucks, the business festival of
IIT Kanpur.
5. Qualified National Science Olympiad in top 50 in 2000(AIR 24), 2002(AIR 6), 2003(AIR 12).

Activities

Appointed as the Student Guide with the prestigious Counseling Service. I was given the
responsibility of mentoring and guiding 7 UG students.

I was part of school and now, institute football team.

Participated in Nukkad (Street Play) for raising awareness among the campus community against
various forms of exploitation of workers on the campus.

Student volunteer of Minimum Wage Monitoring Committee (MWMC), IIT Kanpur and was a
part of many investigations for MWMC and the coordinator for preparing a report State of wages
and working condition in Institute Works.

Reporter in the campus newspaper Vox Populii.
