Internships/Project Work
1. ETH, Zentrum , Dept. of Bio Mechanics, & EMPA, Switzerland, May 05- July05 :
The project was to experimentally determine mechanical response to electricity of electro-active polymers and then
establish physical models by Finite Element techniques to predict their behavior. Appropriateness of the polymers to
be used as artificial muscles was determined.

2. DAAD( German Academic Exchange Service) Project, University of Wuerzburg, Germany, May 04July04:The project involved complete designing and automation of a 2 link robotic arm for mobile robots to lift
objects and for observation through a camera mounted on it.

3. B.Tech Project,IIT Kanpur: Aug 05- Apr 06: 3D Pipe Bending Machine : The machine was developed to bend
long pipes in complex 3 D curvature such that each curve need not be restricted in a plane as in conventional
machines.

4. Center for Mechatronics, IIT Kanpur: Jan 03 May 04: Digital Puppetry: An innovation to interface
programming with script enacting by automating puppets. Music and Script is interfaced music with the motions of puppets. The
project is aimed at developing innovative tools to learn programming using story telling, in schools.
