K: Hi Nadia

N: Hello Kathy
K: What do you do last weekend?
N: I went to Cuzco. It was amazing.
K: What do you do there?
N: I travel for 3 days. I stayed in the hotel of my friend Martin. I have to tell you something that
I never forget.
K: What happened?
N: When I was buying souvenirs, I ran into with Martin. He was with his friend Patricio. I was
embarrassed because I forgot to brush my hair. We started to talk for a long time, we got
along well and then he asked me out.
K: What do you talk about with him? Is he from Cuzco?
N: No, he isnt. Hes from Italy. Well he told me about his future plans. After he finishes his
university, he will come to live in Peru; because the first time that he visited Peru he loves this
country.
K: Did you have problems with the language barrier?
N: Yes, a little. He doesnt speak English very well. He uses body language for some words that
he doesnt know.
J: Who doesnt know?
K, N: Hi Jos
J: Hi girls. What are you talking about?
K: Nadia is telling me about a guy who know in Cuzco. His name is Patricio and he is from Italy.
N: Yeah, That was a perfect day.
J: Oh! Thats great. Italians are very polite. Dont you have problems with the eating habits?
N: No, I dont. I dont remember do something inappropriate.
K: I was in Italy two years ago and I remember I have one problem with the eating habits.
N: What happened? What did you do?
K: When I went out with my friends. I bought snacks and I was eating with my hands while I
was walking. The people saw me stranger. I didnt understand what happened, so some of my
friends told me eating with your hands in the street is disgusting.
J: Wow! People are very strict in Italy.
K: But in Peru isnt the same. Yesterday I was in the bus and I saw a guy with a beer in his hand.
Drinking in the bus is disrespectful.
J: Yes, but also its inconsiderate to smoke in front of the children.
K: The parents who did that dont have respect toward their children.
J: You have all the reason.
K: What about you Jose? What do you do in your last weekend?
J: I went to a job interview.
N: Did you get the job?
J: No, I didnt. Because I get a tattoo in my arm and the interviewer dont like them. He thinks
the tattoos are inappropriate. But not for me.
K: I see what youre saying, but the interviewer decides. Normally, the people who get a tattoo
are only the robbers, you should think about it before. Talking about tattoos When did you
getting a tattoo? Do your parents know about that?
J: Yeah, I know. I havent told my parents yet. I will tell them after I get a job.
N: Aaa, ok. But in the job just for get a tattoo they dont accepted you?
J: Well, I went to the interview with a cap. I have just taken off my cap and the interviewer saw
me. He said me: Taking off your cap in last moment is inconsiderate.
K: You have to learn how to behave in a job interview, those things are important.
J: Yeah, I know. But I dont feel sad, I have to learn so Im applying for another job interview.
Its a company that produces chocolates.
N: Oh, sounds great. And what are the requirements?

J: Well, the ad said they need someone who reduces the costs and that person will be me. I
have thought to consume less energy and to develop an automated process, first the company
is going to invest money but in a short time it can recover it.
K: You seem very animated.
J: Yes, I have to get the job, I know that Im able; I must only a good behavior.
N and K: You will achieve it.
J: Thank you girls.
N: All is OK. But do you know something about the company? That is very important for the
interviewers.
J: Of course. The company was created in 1985 by Samuel Pinzn. Its the biggest chocolates
company in the country. 2 million chocolates are produced every day. 20000 people are
employed by the company and the bottom line is that good employees make good products.
Talking with the employees is very important for the company; they provide their points of
view and solutions. The work environment is the best.
K: Wow, you know everything. Im sure that you will get the job. Just dont say that you have a
tattoo.
J: I will do that.
