Q: Why did you choose to study in US?

/ Why you want to pursue your

degree from US?
A: American universities are well known for their quality of education and
research opportunities. Their programs are well designed with equal
importance on theoretical knowledge along with strong practical skills.
Moreover, an MS degree from a Univ in US has high recognition back here in
INDIA, and would help me to establish myself in a good position after my
MS.
Q: Why only fall semester?
A: Till now i did the job in my xyz field but now i feel that apart from my
experience if i do master from xyz university and when i will come back to
india i will have even better job opportunities than now.
Q: Why are you going to US?
A: To pursue my masters in IS at NEU.
Q: What will be your specialization in MS? / What will be your major in MS?
A: I will be majoring in Information System.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: I will return back to India and would like to work at mid-level position for
5-7 years as Data Architect or DBA in the same company that currently I am
working and after that I am planning to start my own software development
firm.
Q: Are you sure you will be coming back to India after studies? / Will you be
coming back to India after graduation?
A: Yes! India has great opportunities in the field of my study. The advance
degree I will be pursuing from US will be a great asset in advancing my
career here in India.
Q: Do you plan to work in the US supposing on-campus?
A: I have no plans to work while studying. I want to complete the course as
early as possible and come back and join the IT industry in India.
Q: Does this degree help advance your career?
A: Undoubtedly, earning an advance degree from US will definitely serve as
a great asset in advancing my career and enhancing my skills.

Q: You have a solid job and your family is in India, why you chose to leave
everything and pursue further?
A: In Todays competitive world, I feel that my decision to pursue graduate
studies in the US is a smart way to advance my career. While I invest some
time and money into this highly valuable education, the pay offs will be well
worth my time and money.
Q: What is the guarantee that u will return back?
A: The sole aim for me is to go to US, do my MS there, but not to work there.
Moreover I have many obligations towards my family and I must return as I
need to take care of them.As I have enough property, there is no need for me
to work in US.There is untapped market potential in INDIA

A: No! I have never been outside India.

A: Sir, Carriage Foundation Ranking has ranked it 42 in national
universities list. The course work which NEU offers is very much related to
my Work experience. In work I am using concepts like Data warehousing
and Database systems. NEU offers these courses along with other courses
like Business Analysis, Business Intelligence and Engineering of BigData Systems where I want to gain in depth knowledge to make my career
in a better way. Along with that, the IS program in the univ offers not only
technical courses but also business management subjects like risk
Management Analysis, IT Auditing that will improve my managerial skills
as well.
=>And the research work is going on BIGDATA under the guidance of
Associate Professor Auroop Ganguly and Andrew Gouldstone. The research
work is about how to use Big Data tools to gather information from
multiple sources to make more accurate predictions of climate change.
=>The IS program in the univ offers not only technical corses but also
business management subjects like risk Management Analysis, IT Auduting
that will improve my managerial skills as well

A: Yes! I did speak with couple professors. I inquire about their
course curriculum and Research work.

A: I am currently working for Cognizant Technology solutions India.
Q: What is your role and responsibilities?
A: I work as a Programmer Analyst. I design and develop Datamart and
Data warehouse as how data is visible for the clients to make decisions on it
and expand their business.
Q: Since how long you have been working for this company?
A: I have been working here for 2 and half years
Q: How much is your salary?
A: 3.6LPA.

A: It has about 1.75 Lac employees

Q: Well, your current employers sounds strongly established, why do you

want to leave?
A: In this highly competitive world, having global exposure through abroad
studies is important in advancing my career and it also, enhances my ability
to work with different cultures.
Q: Do u think u will get the visa?
A: Sir, In my opinion, I have a strong educational and financial background
and a genuine reason to go to US. My profile is good enough for pursuing
Masters' in USA and an admit from a university like NEU is a testimony to
that. I have tried my best to fulfill all the requirements to get a visa. so I dont
see why u will reject my visa.
