Educational Facilities
Preschool education is available from Discovery Kindergarten, Adventure Kindergarten[1] and Mana
Montessori Preschool.
There are three primary schools in Whitby (Discovery, Adventure and Postgate) all catering for years 1
through 8.
A private secondary school was established in 2004, which has operated as Samuel Marsden Collegiate
School since late 2005. The school has a roll of around 120 students[2] in years 7 through 12. A new
classroom block was completed in mid-2007 which includes a large art room.
