Ashoke Sen, FRS (Bengali: ; born 1956) is an Indian theoretical physicist and distinguished professor at the Harish-Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad.[1] He also is the Morningstar Visiting professor at MIT. His main area of work is String Theory. He was among the first recipients of the Fundamental Physics Prize for opening the path to the realisation that all string theories are different limits of the same underlying theory. This prize has been set up by the Russian billionaire Yuri Milner for rewarding scientific breakthroughs

Mr. Giler serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at CommonAngels, Muse Research & Development, Inc. and Commetrex. Mr. Giler has been Director of WiTricity Corporation since 2008. Mr. Giler has been Director of Netegrity Inc. since December 1996, Interspeed, Inc. since October 1996 and Onset Technology Inc. He served as a Director of SoundBite Communications, Inc. since December 2005 and served as its Lead Director. He served as a Director of Brooktrout Inc. since 1984. He served as a Director of Massachusetts Network Communications Council, where Mr. Giler served as the Chairman. He also serves on the National Board of Directors of the American Electronics Association (AeA) New England Council. Speech Technology magazine readers named Mr. Giler a top ten leader in speech and he is a frequent speaker at industry events including Voice on the Net (VON), SpeechTEK and ComNet. Mr. Giler received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.Sc. from Carnegie-Mellon University.
