Job Description
HPs Inkjet and Printing Solutions (IPS) group is the market leader in
personal and small business printing. We are technology innovators.
We develop and deliver web-connected printers and mobile solutions
connecting customers to a rich cloud-based printing ecosystem.
As an electrical hardware engineer, you'll design, develop, modify and
evaluate electronic circuitry or sub-systems for the next generation of
printer products. This includes a broad range of responsibilities including
but not limited to:

Design from concept, implementation, test and validation through


volume production
Conduct feasibility studies, design margin, signal analyses and
product testing on new and modified designs
Select components and circuit solutions based on analysis of
performance and specifications, reliability and customer
experience
Evaluate reliability of materials, characteristics, designs and
techniques used in production.
Create schematics, file design documents; communicate results
and status
Design complex, high speed digital or/and analog circuit boards

Investigation of new technology


Participate in problem-solving and issue resolution that contribute
to the overall success of the team

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Master's


degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 0-4 years experience
Knowledge and Skills
Coursework should include digital and analog circuit
fundamentals, micro-processor, computer architecture and
computer network courses
Basic programming skills, simulation, schematic capture
via CAD tools/languages (Cadence, Mentor, SPICE, etc.)
Familiarity with logic analyzer, digital O-scopes, voltmeter
and other test tools required
Course work or experience in these areas is a plus: image
processing, local area network, RF communication, high
speed digital design, EMC, AC-DC power supplies,
embedded system programming, VLSI
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Very good English communication skills (written and
verbal). Ability to effectively communicate design
proposals and negotiate options.
Self motivation and good time management. Excellent
teamwork skills
Use of office productivity tools such as Word, Excel,
Powerpoint and Email
