INTRODUCTION
This classification report defines the resistance to fire classification assigned to element Roof made of
self-supporting double skin metal faced insulating panels TOP ROOF C5 50, 50 mm thick with PIR core
in accordance with the procedures given in EN 13501-2:2007+A1:2009.
2.
2.1 GENERAL
The element is defined as a load-bearing roof with fire resistance.
2.2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Roof is made of self-supporting double skin metal faced insulating panels TOP ROOF C5 50, with panel
thickness of 50 mm and 90 mm measured on rib.
Dimensions
Width of panel
Height and width of rib
Distance between ribs
1000 mm
39,5 mm x 15,29 mm
250 mm
Panel core
Polyisocyanurate foam with bulk density of 43 kg/m3 (manufacturer: TOPANEL PRODUCTION PANELS
SA, Romania)
Panel covering
- interior steel sheet 0,5 mm thick, grade of metal DX51D+ZN140 (supplier: Galva Turkey) with polyester
coat (05-20) m thick, RAL 9002, profile geometry: classic,
- exterior steel sheet 0,6 mm thick, grade of metal S250GD+Z140 (manufacturer: JSW Steel Limited)
with polyester coat (05-20) m thick, RAL 6011, profile geometry: roof geometry with 5 ribs.
Two strips of fire protection sealing tape Intumex L with dimensions (1,8 x 10) mm each (manufacturer:
Intumex GmbH, Austria) are used between the panels in the centre of the panel thickness. Total width of
tape: 20 mm.
The fire resistant mastic Intumex AN (bip Gmbh, Austria) is applied in the joints of panels on the internal
roof face.
The joints of panels are stitched on the both roof faces by steel self-drilling screws 4,8 mm x 19 mm.
Spacing of screws along the joints on external roof face: 200 mm.
Spacing of screws along the joints on internal roof face: 300 mm.
More detailed information about product construction is shown in the test report [1] acc. to paragraph 3.1
of the document.
2.3 PRODUCT FIXATION
Roof made of self-supporting double skin metal faced insulating panels TOP ROOF C5 50 is used as
2- and more-span continuous beam with span of 2000 mm.
Fixation of roof to the load-bearing profiles (beams) is realized by means of steel screws 6,3 x 140 mm.
Position of the screws: at the edges of roof and on each second panel rib.
