TASK DESCRIPTION

TECH

ENGR

ARRIVAL TASKS:
Ensure following tasks are accomplished:

Wheel chocks are in position.

II

Towing lever is in Towing Position and pin is installed.

TRANSIT TASKS:
Perform walk around (Figure 1) for evidence of obvious damages which may have occurred during the
last flight:

a)

Missing or loose parts. F.O.D.

b)

Missing over pressure Discharge Discs.

c)

Visually check drain mast areas and drains for leakage of fuel and/or
hydraulic fluid as far as visible from ground.

d)

Visually check lower wing surfaces and wing tip for obvious damage and
fuel leakage as far as visible from ground.

e)

Visually check ram air inlet/exhaust doors for condition and obstructions.

f)

Visually check cargo compartment liners and door seals.

g)

Visually check static ports, TAT probe, pitot static probes and AOA vanes
for condition as far as visible from ground.

h)

Visual inspection of Landing Gear Doors.

i)

Visually check navigation and communication antennas for condition as


far as visible from ground.

Check brake unit for wear and evidence of overheating or leaks.

Check MLG and NLG shock struts for normal extension, wheels for
condition, tire for wear, damage and evidence of under inflation.

III

Visually check LH and RH engine cowling for obvious damage. Visually


check that blowout door is not open and latches are secured.

IV

Visually check LH and RH engine inlet cowl, fan rotor spinner, fan rotor
blades and engine exhaust as far as visible from ground.

Review Aircraft Technical Log and perform corrective action as required.

Check engine oil quantity for both engines (ECAM lower display, Engine
page) approx. 5 to 30 minutes after engine shutdown.

Check hydraulic fluid level via ECAM display. (If required)

VI

Visually check all movable control surfaces on LH and RH wings for


condition, obstruction and locks, as far as visible from ground, with
flaps/stats retracted.

Visually check vertical fin and rudder, horizontal stabilizers and elevators
for obvious damage, evidence of fluid leakage and missing of damaged
static dischargers as far as visible from ground.

IX

Check crew oxygen system for correct pressure via cockpit indication

REFUELING:

Refuel aircraft as required dispatch quantity and record.

Ensure refuel coupling caps are in place and secured.

III

Ensure Manual Magnetic Indicators (MMI) are retracted and secured if


used during refueling.

WATER / WASTE SERVICING:

Service fresh water system (as required).

Service Lavatories (as required).

FINAL TASKS:

Upon completion of the freight loading and prior closing of the cargo
doors, inspect the FWD and AFT cargo door surrounds and sealing
section for damage.

Ensure that sufficient Technical Log pages are available in Technical Log
Book for the certification of the Next Flight.

III

Endorse and sign Maintenance tasks done in Aircraft Technical Log Book.

CERTIFY: Trip check in Aircraft Technical Log Book.

Carry out final walk around and ensure no damage has been caused by
ground equipment during aircraft servicing and loading.

Ensure nose and main landing gear safety pins are removed and placed
in cockpit.

III

Wheel chocks removed (upon flight crew instruction).

I hereby certify that the overhaul / repair(s) / replacement(s) / scheduled maintenance task(s) / modification(s)
/ mandatory inspection(s) have been carried out in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer and
requirements of the Airworthiness Directorate. It is further certified that work has been performed in
accordance with updated manuals, drawing using proper tools, calibrated test equipments, etc. The aircraft is

fully airworthy and meets all the safety / Airworthiness standards.
I am fully conversant with relevant Rules given in CAR 94, ANO's and Airworthiness Notices.
