energy savings up to 75%

The Akila luminaire integrates the latest cutting edge solutions. The combination of
LED technology, a driver working within a constant flux programme and a dimming
system makes it possible to achieve energy savings that can reach 75% compared
with old HID luminaires.
With this very favourable energy balance, the Akila luminaire contributes to the
effective management of public finances and to the responsible use of energy.

absolute modularity
Thanks to photometric engines composed of modular quantities of LEDs, the Akila
luminaire can offer a wide range of lumen packages from 6,000 up to
40,000 lm. This modularity in size and performance is accompanied by a wide
variety of drivers and dimming options in order to take the best advantages of a
performing LED solution.
By offering this absolute flexibility, Akila ensures that the light distributions are
specifically adapted to the real needs of the area to be lit.

Resists high temperatures

The Akila luminaire is designed to operate reliably in every part of the world,
even the hottest regions. Due to its extruded design, it achieves an excellent
thermal conductivity of 200W/mK.
The Akila perfectly withstands high temperatures (Ta up to 55C depending on the
model) which enables it to be installed in regions with the warmest climates at
night.

LENSOFLEX 2
Akila luminaires are equipped with second generation LensoFlex2 photometric
engines that have been specifically developed for lighting spaces where the wellbeing and safety of people using the environments are essential.
This system is based upon the addition principle of photometric distribution. Each
LED is associated with a specific lens that generates the complete photometric
distribution of the luminaire. It is the number of LEDs in combination with the driving
current that determines the intensity level of the light distribution.

FUTUREPROOF
Using state-of-the-art technology, Akila luminaires have been designed to fulfil the
FutureProof concept.
The optical unit can be removed, allowing replacement in order to take advantage of
future technological developments. At any stage during the service life, all models
can be equipped with a completely new LEDSafe optical unit.

The nominal flux is an indicative LED flux @ tj 25C based on LED manufacturers data. The real flux output of the luminaire depends on environmental conditions
(e.g. temperature and pollution) and the optical efficiency of luminaire.
Nominal flux depends on the type of LED in use and likely to change in accordance with the continuous and rapid developments in LED technology.

owlet solutions to maximise savings

With Schrders wide range of Owlet control solutions, your lighting scheme
becomes intelligent. Our system approach allows you to use light in the
smartest way, with the right level, in the right place and at the right moment.
You save energy, lengthen the life of your lighting installation, reduce
maintenance costs, enhance comfort and increase safety. Our range of
solutions encompasses systems for small areas to complete city networks in
order to perfectly suit your requests and your targets in terms of savings.
As an option, the Akila luminaire can operate with a scheduled dimming
system, a Constant Light Output (CLO) or a complete remote Owlet
management system.

Flexible scheduled dimming

With intelligent ballasts incorporated in the Akila luminaire, we can help you
to choose your own optimum dimming system.
The 5-level dimming programme ensures that you can adapt the lighting
level to the needs of the place and the time. Intelligent ballasts work
autonomously by taking switch-on and switch-off times as reference points.
This means that the system will adapt itself all through the year according to
the seasons and the sunset/sunrise.
By using light when and where it is necessary, with your own scheduled
dimming programme, you can easily achieve energy savings of over 30%.

with 240 LEDs will have an annual power consumption of 2,175kWh while
maintaining the average luminance of 1.5cd/m2 required.
SLEEC-L = 0.35W / (m2.cd/m2) following Rev. EN 13201 draft.
This corresponds to a consumption of less than 6kWh/day and emissions lower
