absolute modularity
Thanks to photometric engines composed of modular quantities of LEDs, the Akila
luminaire can offer a wide range of lumen packages from 6,000 up to
40,000 lm. This modularity in size and performance is accompanied by a wide
variety of drivers and dimming options in order to take the best advantages of a
performing LED solution.
By offering this absolute flexibility, Akila ensures that the light distributions are
specifically adapted to the real needs of the area to be lit.
LENSOFLEX 2
Akila luminaires are equipped with second generation LensoFlex2 photometric
engines that have been specifically developed for lighting spaces where the wellbeing and safety of people using the environments are essential.
This system is based upon the addition principle of photometric distribution. Each
LED is associated with a specific lens that generates the complete photometric
distribution of the luminaire. It is the number of LEDs in combination with the driving
current that determines the intensity level of the light distribution.
FUTUREPROOF
Using state-of-the-art technology, Akila luminaires have been designed to fulfil the
FutureProof concept.
The optical unit can be removed, allowing replacement in order to take advantage of
future technological developments. At any stage during the service life, all models
can be equipped with a completely new LEDSafe optical unit.

The nominal flux is an indicative LED flux @ tj 25C based on LED manufacturers data. The real flux output of the luminaire depends on environmental conditions
(e.g. temperature and pollution) and the optical efficiency of luminaire.
Nominal flux depends on the type of LED in use and likely to change in accordance with the continuous and rapid developments in LED technology.
To follow the progress of the luminous efficiency of the LEDs used, please visit our website.

M2 classified roadway according to CIE 115
L ave = 1.5cd/m2
For 4,000 hours of use per year, for 1km of motorway, the Akila luminaire equipped
with 240 LEDs will have an annual power consumption of 2,175kWh while
maintaining the average luminance of 1.5cd/m2 required.
SLEEC-L = 0.35W / (m2.cd/m2) following Rev. EN 13201 draft.
This corresponds to a consumption of less than 6kWh/day and emissions lower
than 2.76kg eq CO2 according to the European equivalent of 0.46kg eq CO2/kWh.
