Interpretation of the Gathered Data

In order for the researchers to validate the feasibility of their proposed project study
entitled modification design of waterworks system in MSEUF the proponents conducted a
survey within the university through the medium of questionnaire.

The following charts show the result of the questionnaire answered by one hundred
twenty (120) respondents. Questionnaires are sets to be evaluated by different respondents from
all walks of life.

Profession

17%

Student
50%

Faculty
Maitenance and Others

33%

Fig.
The figure shows that the majority of the respondents came from the student sector as
they comprise the fifty percent (50%) of the respondents. For the reason that students due usually
use water morning till evening. It was followed by the faculties for they use water in cleansing,
drinking and many more. Maintenance and others usually use water for cleaning restrooms,
washing dishes, cooking and many more.
The questionaries that the researchers used on the group conducted contains following
question that were answered by the respondents.
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Are you using water from the university? _____

Is it important to have continuous water supply? _____
Are you satisfied to the water supply of the university? _____
Are you in favour for the enhancement of waterworks system? ____
Will it help to satisfy your need of water? _____
Will it meet the future demand of water? _____

Are you always using water in the university?

29%
Yes
No
71%

The seventy percent (70%) acquired in the first question always used water in the
university while around twenty nine (29%) used water less.

Is it important to have continuous supply of

water
8%

Yes
No

92%

The second question is definitely yes. Around ninety one percent because water is needed
every day. Only eight percent answered no.

are you satisfied to the service of the

university in your building?

25%
Yes
No
75%

Question number 3 ask the consumers in their satisfaction of the water service in the
university or their building result was seventy five percent of them is not satisfied. The reason
has sometimes it has no water, there was no water flowing in the faucet and the water is stored in
one container without cover.

Are you in favor for the modification of

waterwork system in the university?
17%

Yes
No

83%

On question number 4 eighty three percent of all the respondents are in favour of the
realization of the proposed modification of waterworks system. Every day of poor service of
water specially on peak hour period, that is why reducing water problem on the university is a
big uplift on the community of the university.

Will it help to satisfy your need for water?

4%

Yes
No

96%

The answer was definite yes as the result of question number 5 in the figure, ninety six
percent is in spirit that it will help to satisfy their needs of water while the three percent do not
believe that it will hel and resolve the water problem experienced by the consumers.

Will it meet the future demand for water?

8%

Yes
No

92%

The question whether or not that proposed modification of the waterworks will help meet
the demand of the future in the university? The result of the survey questionnaire shows the trust
in the proposed waterworks system.
