This park is named after our first


Prime Minister of Malaysia, gazette in 1974
as Sabahs 2nd national park, which
comprises of 5 astonishing islands: Pulau
Gaya, Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau
Mamutik, & Pulau Sulug. Surrounded by the
shallow water & the uniquely-beauty of the
coral reefs, it makes an interesting dive
location for most of the experienced diver &
underwater photographer. All of these
islands only take 10-20minutes speedboat
ride from the city of Kota Kinabalu!

3. Sipadan Island

4. Tanjung Aru Beach

The beach named after the Casuarinas


or the Aru tree. A spot where the greatest
sunset on earth may be captivated, you can
get seats at the ringside. There are varieties
of food stalls lined up, which are open from
morning till late at night.
Want to have full-course meal? You
can get it with a reasonable price at any of
the restaurants nearby. This beach is also
home to Shangri-La Tanjung Arus Resort,
The Kinabalu Gold Club, & The Kinabalu
Yacht Club.

Mount Kinabalu

6. Visit Tamu (Market)

There are many tamu around Sabah. The one


that we loved most are Gaya Street (Sunday
Market) and Tamu Penampang. What you can get
in these 2 markets?
Usually locals go for family Sunday outing to
Gaya Street Sunday market, and the tourists also
enjoy coming here as reasonable price souvenirs
and Batik Sarong, varieties food, and even crafts
and arts by the local artist.
This area had been the central of Business
district in Kota Kinabalu for more than hundreds
of year!
Longing to find the best vegetables and
handicraft?
Come to Tamu Penampang! Located at
Dongonggon (15minutes driveway from Kota
Kinabalu city), for those who loves to try
something different, here you can find our famous
tapai or lihing (rice wine), and bambangan (wild
mango which was pickled).

places for you to satisfy this passion of yours.
Tawau Hills Park gazette in 1979, this breathtaking jungle is comprises a major landmark called
Bombalai Hill and also other two hills namely
Gunung Lucia and Gunung Magdalena.
If you love to swim, just follow the nature
trails, itll lead you to the waterfalls & hot spring,
swim as you like! But beware for the deep steep
for the weak swimmers.

our free day in Tawau
trekking in the Tawau
hills national park highly
recommended! ...30-40
