Description:
This project is involved in the development of data warehouse for Valiant Bank
Switzerland on four kinds of data marts such as Accounts, Loans, Credit Cards, and Insurance.
Each data marts represent a collection of data pertaining to a single business process. In loan
data mart involved in disbursal of loan amounts for various purposes like: Personal Loan,
Educational Loan, Vehicle Loan, Housing Loan, Consumer Durable Loans, etc.

The database has lots of historical data, so data warehousing plays a Major role in enabling
various Sources to view data at a lowest level and help them to make Decisions to bring more
revenue to company with new policies. Cognos has been used to deliver the scalable and
analytical reports.
Responsibilities:

Created List, Grouped List, Cross tab, Chart reports with simple drag and drop
functionality.
Created and managed sections in the reports and also formatted reports as per the
need.
Extensively worked with filters and prompts on report data in Report Studio.
Implemented conditional formatting in the reports to highlight the exceptional data.
Used conditional blocks and render variable to hide the objects.
Worked with complex reports like master-detail and drill through reports.

Developed the specific reports with concept of cascading and value prompts by creating
prompt pages and parameters.
Involved in Unit testing and performance tuning of reports.

Rockwell Electronics is one of the leading producers of entertainment products. Rockwell
produces home and car audio systems and these are distributed worldwide. The requirement is
to track the production and sales in various areas and compare with those of competitors. In
order to accomplish this, Cognos Reporting Tools will allow them to view and analyze their
business needs.

Responsibilities:

Created professional reports in Report Studio.

Created list reports, crosstab reports, chart reports, with conditional formatting using
Report Studio.
