Drilling Systems
Cameron has designed, manufactured and delivered surface and subsea
drilling systems from the wellhead through the manifold to meet a wide
variety of customer requirements and drilling applications. These systems
are being used in projects from Africa to the Gulf of Mexico and represent Cameron system solutions and their array of design configurations.

Riser Systems

Varied Drilling Applications

Control Systems

Cameron has delivered complete drilling systems for drillships, semisubmersibles, platforms and jackups. These rigs have rated water depths
from several hundred to over 10,000 feet and operate from 5000 to
15,000 psi working pressure.

BOP Stack Systems

The vast majority of these rigs use Camerons 18-3/4 TL BOPs in
4-, 5- and 6-cavity styles. BOP stack systems also include Cameron
collet connectors including the Model 70, DWHC and HCH4 designs.

The Cameron LoadKing and RF Riser systems are utilized on several of

these rigs to meet the demands of drilling in deepwater. Both riser
systems accommodate high tension loads and provide for multiple
control lines.

Many of the control systems used on these rigs are Cameron Controls
Multiplex (MUX) BOP Control Systems. Camerons MUX system features
the lightest weight, most compact pod in the industry. In addition,
Cameron offers the industrys only fully retrievable MUX pods. The
popularity of the Cameron MUX control system has made Cameron
Controls the industry leader in the supply of drilling control systems.
Cameron Controls also offers direct hydraulic control systems for subsea
and land applications.

Choke Manifold Systems

Motion Compensation Systems
A new addition to Camerons drilling systems family is a range of motion
compensation systems including deepwater compensators, deepwater

Cameron Elastomer Technology

One of the many ways to differentiate
Cameron drilling products from other manufacturers is the elastomers used in critical
sealing areas such as ram packers and top
seals.
Cameron drilling products exclusively use
the proprietary elastomers designed and
manufactured by Cameron Elastomer Technology (CET), located in Katy, Texas. CET
provides engineered solutions to elastomeric
material problems. For drilling applications,
CET has developed CAMRAM, CAMRAM
350, CAMULAR, CAMLAST and
DUROCAM elastomer products to meet
the rigorous demands of the oilfield.
These products, when used in Cameron
ram-type BOPs and annular BOPs, improve
performance, extend service life, reduce
downtime and lower operating costs.

Collet Connectors
Collet Connectors

The Model 70 is offered in sizes and pressure ratings for a wide variety
of applications. The HC is similar to the Model 70 but is designed to provide greater preload to withstand higher separating forces. The DWHC is
a high strength drilling and completion collet connector engineered for
the high loads encountered in ultra deepwater applications. The HCH4
connector locks onto an H4 wellhead.
All Cameron connectors offer high strength and stiffness with a direct
load path through the connector and metal-to-metal sealing AX gaskets
on the collet end ensure seal integrity. Positively driven-open collet
segments during unlock ensure that no overpull is required to disconnect.
A secondary unlock function is also included in each design.

As drilling depths have increased, Cameron collet connectors have

evolved to address issues concerning higher internal and external
pressures, increasing applied bending and tension loads and extreme
operating conditions.
Cameron offers four collet connectors:

AX and AX-AT Gaskets for Cameron Collet Connectors

Two metal-to-metal sealing systems are available for Cameron Collet
Connectors the AX Gasket and the AX-AT Gasket.
The AX Gasket provides reliable sealing in the standard AX Gasket
prep. AX gaskets are available with resilient back-up seals and are
available to fit all connector sizes and working pressures.
The AX-AT Gasket is used in the AX-AT Gasket prep with two
separate metal sealing surfaces. The AX-AT Gasket is designed with
an extended lip which fits into the AX-AT prep to provide metal-to-metal
primary and back-up sealing. This secondary metal sealing option is
important in HP/HT wells where elastomer contingency sealing may not
be acceptable; and for subsea applications to provide additional sealing
for damaged sealing preps. The AX-AT Gasket is available in 18-3/4"
10,000 / 15,000 psi WP and is available in 316 Stainless Steel with other
materials available on request.

Drilling Control Systems

The subsea MUX electro-hydraulic BOP control system from Cameron
Controls offers state-of-the-art controls for Cameron BOP systems.
Each system is designed with a true systems approach for maximum
efficiency. The modular structure of the system allows Cameron Controls
to look at each drilling program from a total systems level, not just from
an equipment level. Only Cameron Controls combines this approach with
the full technical and project management resources of the Cameron
organization, offering customers:
Subsea retrievability Unlike any other system in the industry, the
modular design of the Cameron Controls system allows the subsea
control pod to be retrieved and replaced without pulling the riser stack.
Redundant system architecture Component level redundancy
eliminates single point failures. All critical system functions have been
engineered with multiple back-ups for continuous operations.
Robust components Subsea components are designed for a water
depth of 12,000 ft (3700 m), and certified for 10,000 ft (3000 m).
Smaller and lighter Cameron Controls subsea MUX drilling control
systems are the smallest and lightest in the industry.
Functionality Cameron Controls MUX systems provide up to 112
hydraulic functions per subsea control pod.
Key components of the Cameron MUX drilling control system include:

Control Panels
Cameron Controls subsea MUX drilling control systems provide two
functionally identical control panels for both the driller and tool pusher.
Either panel is available as touchscreen interfaces. Both panels are
capable of full, independent control of the subsea drilling system.

Hydraulic Power
Unit, Skid Mounted

Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU)

The HPU provides pressurized hydraulic fluid to operate the subsea BOP
stack and Lower Marine Riser Package (LMRP) functions. The HPU is
comprised of three skid units which
separately house the Hydraulic Pump
Unit, Diverter Control Unit and Fluid
Mixing Unit. The HPU includes a PLC
unit, which provides a third level of
redundancy for the control panels.
The Hydraulic Pump Unit is
typically equipped with three pump
systems with independent, dedicated
power sources, supplying pressure to
the subsea components. The Diverter
Diverter Control Unit
Control Unit controls a series
of valves which divert drilling
fluid into or away from the
riser. In addition to the main
control panels, the DCU also
provides a tertiary means of
controlling drilling system
functions. The Fluid Mixing
Unit mixes glycol, soluble
lubricant and water to a
prespecified formulation to
suit specific depth and
temperature requirements.

Surface

most typical and
deepwater applications, offering a
compact footprint
Mark I (left) and Mark II (right) Subsea MUX Control Pods
and weight of
10,000 lb (4536 kg). The Mark II Pod weighs 15,000 lb (6804 kg) and
features high integrity components, combined with high electronic and
analysis functionality, for ultra-deepwater environments. The Mark I Pod
is capable of 72 functions. The Mark II Pod can be configured for up to
112 hydraulic functions.
The pod houses the Hydraulic Module and Electronic MUX Package.
Two accumulator banks are placed conveniently around the BOP stack.
The Hydraulic Module is a standard Cameron modular pod. Modules
feature seawater tolerant, stainless steel valves and pressure regulators
with sliding, metal-to-metal, shear type seals.
The electronic MUX package consists of the Subsea Electronics Module
(SEM) and the Solenoid Valve Package. The SEM, packaged in a dry,
nitrogen-purged atmosphere housing for easy maintenance, contains
dual redundant electronics which provide communications via modem
with the surface electronic system. The Solenoid Valve Package converts
the electronic commands into hydraulic signals which actuate the large
valves in the Hydraulic Module.
For every regulated circuit on the pod, there is an accumulator bank,
each containing four small accumulators, providing pilot pressure and
dampening. These enable the system to operate reliably at depths of
10,000 ft (3000 m).

In addition to the MUX control system, Cameron Controls also offers

piloted and direct hydraulic control systems for subsea applications, as
well as BOP control systems for land and platform use.

Subsea Piloted and Direct

Hydraulic Control Systems
For operating the BOP stack and associated equipment in shallower depths of
5000 ft (1500 m) or less, Cameron
Controls offers piloted hydraulic drilling
control systems. These systems offer the
same robust, field-proven components as
the MUX system, but they are controlled
via hydraulic connections between the
surface controls and subsea control pod.
Like the subsea MUX systems, the
piloted systems feature redundant
architecture for absolute reliability, and are
Piloted Hydraulic Control Pod
fully retrievable without pulling the riser.
Subsea system functions can be operated by either the drillers control
panel, toolpushers control panel or touchscreen, as well as by
the tertiary operator panel located on the diverter control unit.
Subsea pod valves incorporate Cameron
sliding, metal-to-metal shear
seals for superior tolerance
to fluid.

Land and Platform BOP

Control Systems
Cameron Controls offers
reliable, economical direct
hydraulic drilling control
systems for use on land or
platform. Systems are designed in
Hydraulic Power Unit
accordance with API 16D specifications, as
for Piloted Systems
well as all appropriate codes and standards
for explosive and hazardous area classification. Dual control panels provide maximum flexibility, while the modular
components deliver maximum reliability and field serviceability.
Cameron Controls cellar deck-mounted piloted control systems are
unprecedented for control of BOP stacks on jackup type rigs. Proven
through years of field applications, these systems provide significantly
increased response time for
control of surfacemounted equipment.

SpoolTree Production Systems

The Cameron SpoolTree Production System is one of the most widely used
trees in the world and offers many time and cost saving advantages over
conventional tree systems.
Instead of the typical wellhead-hanger-tree stackup, the SpoolTree
design has a wellhead-tree-hanger stackup. In this configuration, the
Christmas tree consists of a concentric bore spool with a wellhead
connector below and a wellhead connector profile on top. The tubing
hanger is hung off inside the spool on a dedicated load shoulder, and the

valves are situated on the side of the spool. No valves are in the vertical
bore of the wellhead/tree system. The completion is run after the tree is
installed and the completion can be pulled with the tree in place and
flowline connections undisturbed.
MOSAIC SpoolTree Production Systems can be configured with a wide
array of component choices. The possible combinations of components,
available pressure ratings and sizes are virtually endless. The result is a
cost-effective system that can be adapted to virtually any subsea job.

SpoolTree System Valve Assembly Configurations

In the Cameron SpoolTree design, the spool body provides outlets to attach
production, annulus and isolation valves for downhole functions and the
electrical penetrator bonnet assembly. The tubing hanger landing shoulder
is specially ported to accept control stabs and provides hydraulic continuity
between the production control system and downhole hydraulics.
The valves are contained both as an integral part of the spool body, and
in mini-blocks external to the vertical bore of the tree. A typical valve cluster
includes production and annulus master valve, production and annulus wing
valve, crossover valve, workover valve and isolation valves for SCSSV, CIV and
other requirements. Assemblies are available for 3" through 7" completions.

Dual Bore Production Systems

The Cameron Dual Bore Production System has been the number one
choice of operators for many years. More than 300 have been delivered
worldwide since it was introduced in 1985. Todays version has been
reengineered for modularity and standard interfaces have been added
to ensure compatibility with a range of systems.
The dedicated annulus bore and vertical full-bore access to both the
production tubing and annulus provide several advantages. The tubing
casing annulus can be circulated and pressure bled off. This simplifies

troubleshooting by enabling annulus monitoring for downhole pressure

and temperature, sand production and tubing and packer leaks. In addition, one or more electrical penetrators can be provided for downhole
pressure and temperature gauges and for electrical submersible pumps.
Versions of the dual bore tree are offered for 5000, 10,000 and 15,000
psi WP and water depths to 10,000 feet. They are used for oil and gas
production, gas and water injection service on satellite wells, clusters or
templates.

CAMTROL Production Control System

Master Control Station (MCS)
The MCS provides control and monitoring of the complete system,
including surface and subsea installed equipment. Two complete and
segregated MCS
channel networks
simultaneously monitor
data functions to and
from each other, surface and subsea. In
the event of a channel
network failure, the
other continues to
seamlessly operate the
control system. This
dual redundant architecture eliminates
single mode failure
points and the requirement for bumpless
transfer from the failed
to the healthy channel
network.
The MCS features
Master Control Station
open-architecture
electronics with dual
Fast Ethernet links to the host control system (or serial RS-485 and choice
of topside communication protocol including MODBUS and Profibus). It
is OPC v.2 compliant for compatibility with all other OPC v.2 compliant
equipment. The MCS standard modems are qualified to control up to 10
Subsea Control Modules at 24.9 miles (40 km) offset, and the standard
MCS can accommodate up to eight modems per channel. Ultra-long
offset capabilitiy is assured by lowering the number of SCMs.

Electrical Power
Unit (EPU)
The EPU provides
conditioned electrical
power to the topside
and subsea system
components. The EPU
supplies dual, isolated,
single-phase power for
the subsea system
through the composite
service umbilical,
together with power
supply modules for the
MCS and HPU.

Hydraulic Power
Unit (HPU)
The HPU provides
Electrical Power Unit
redundant low- and
high-pressure hydraulic
supplies to the subsea system. Self-contained and totally enclosed, the
HPU includes duty and backup electrically driven hydraulic pumps, dual
redundant filters, accumulators, and control and instrumentation for each
LP and HP hydraulic circuit. The unit operates autonomously under the

control of its dedicated

programmable logic
controller (PLC), which
provides pump motor
control, interlocks and
interface with the
MCS.

Topside Umbilical
Termination Unit
(TUTU)

Hydraulic Power Unit

The TUTU provides the

interface between the topside control equipment and the main umbilical
system. This fully enclosed unit incorporates electrical junction boxes for
the electrical power and communication cables, as well as tube work,
gauges, and block and bleed valves for the appropriate hydraulic and
chemical supplies.

Subsea Control
Module (SCM)
Rated for water
depths up to 10,000
ft (3000 m), the
CAMTROL SCM is the
heart of the subsea
system. The SCM
weighs less than
2200 lb (1000 kg)
Topside Umbilical Termination Unit
and measures only
29" x 29" x 34" high (736 mm x 736 mm x 860 mm high), making it the
lightest, most compact control module in the industry. This allows easy
installation and intervention by standard work-class ROVs with any of the
CAMTROL suite of Multi-Mode Running Tools. Yet with up to 32 control
functions, 24 external (4-20 mA) electrical sensor inputs and available
multi-dropped intelligent completion capability, the CAMTROL SCM leads
the industry in functionality and future potential. This can reduce the
number of SCMs needed for an entire project, thereby lowering capital
expenses.
The SCM provides multiplexed electro-hydraulic control and monitoring
of a wide variety of field functions including traditional tree functions,
manifold valve control, choke adjustment, position indication, header
pressure/temperature monitoring, downhole
intelligence monitoring, sand detection,
corrosion monitoring and multiphase flow
measurement. Other features include:
Oil-filled, pressure-compensated
construction designed for
14 to 122 F (10 to
+50C); controlledenvironment electrical
connections; seawatertolerant materials
available throughout
hydraulic system
Diverless or diverassisted designs

Subsea Distribution Unit (SDU)

The modular CAMTROL design allows the SDU to be either separate or
fully integrated. The SDU provides the hydraulic, chemical and electrical
distribution between
the subsea system
and the main control
umbilical. The structure is designed, tested
and certified to accommodate all handling
loads. For deepwater
applications, the unit
can incorporate hingeover lock capability.

Intervention Flexibility
The CAMTROL system uses
common intervention methods
for the retrieval and re-installation
of the SCM, as well as the SAM,
compact multi-phase flow meter
and Cameron Willis Subsea
Retrievable Chokes. Methods
may include diver-assist, diverless,
guideline, guidelineless and ROVassisted.

Multi-Mode
Running Tool (MMRT)
Cameron Controls offers a suite
of MMRTs, which perform
installation and retrieval of the
Multi-Mode Running Tool
for Seabed Exchange Mode
system elements detailed above.
The MMRT design allows these
operations to be performed using common intervention methods
diver-assisted, conventional guideline, guidelineless or with an ROV in
water depths to 10,000 ft (3000 m).
The MMRT is designed for efficient
operation with a work-class ROV and is
interface-compliant with API 17H using
weight transfer systems for neutral
buoyancy.

Deepwater Liftline Running Tool

(DLRT)

Deepwater Liftline Running Tool

The Subsea Accumulator Module

(SAM) provides a local source of
hydraulic fluid. Each standard
SAM is fitted with four 5.3 gal
(20 l) LP and two 0.7 gal (2.5 l)
HP accumulators, providing
sufficient capacity to operate
100% of all the valves on a
production tree. The SAM has the
identical footprint, lockdown and
tooling interface as the SCM and
can be replaced using any MultiMode Running Tool. All components are suitably earth-bonded
and corrosion-protected via a
dedicated electrical connector.

Designed with the identical functionality

and capability of the MMRT, the DLRT is
intended for applications without high
currents or other problematic conditions.
The DLRT is suspended by a liftline and
can be guided by an ROV.

Diver Change-Out Tool (DCOT)

The DCOT is designed for diver intervention applications for a variety
of change-out functions. Like the MMRT, the DCOT locates onto an
API 17H weight
receptacle interface
and is run on a
liftline with or
without guide wires.

API Gate Valves

Cameron offers a full range of gate valves for surface and subsea
applications. Selection of a valve for a specific application depends
on a number of factors including bore size and working pressure.
Standard and customized configurations of solid block valves are
available for use in Christmas tree applications, along with single gate
valves. Solid block valves provide a more compact design and improved
fire-resistance with fewer potential leak paths. However, single gate valve
Christmas trees provide flexibility in configuration and easy replacement.
The reliability of Cameron gate valves makes them essential components for both subsea and surface applications. Large bore and high
pressure valves are available for use in varying service conditions including
high temperature applications, formation fracturing operations, drilling
and subsea production manifolds.
All Cameron gate valves are available with a full range of Cameron
Willis actuators, chokes and controls providing a single source of supply.

API Gate Valves

Cameron offers both slab-style and expanding-style gate valves in full
bore through conduit designs to meet API 6A requirements.

FL, FLS and FLS-R Gate Valves

Slab-style gates are used in the Cameron FL, FLS and FLS-R
forged body gate valves for both manual and actuated
applications. These valves meet or exceed the requirements
of API Specifications 6A, 6A SSV/USV and 17D. The slabstyle gate effects a metal-to-metal seal on the flow stream.
In addition, slab-style gates may also be used when wireline
cutting is required.
Slab Gate
Common features of the FL, FLS and FLS-R Gate Valves
include inert, spring-loaded, pressure-energized lip seals which are
installed between each seat and body. These seals assist in low-pressure
sealing and protect against intrusion of particle contaminants into the
body and seal areas.
The FLS-R valve is used in manually operated, large bore applications.
The manual FLS-R valve shares many of the the same features as the FLS
valve and it incorporates a lower balance stem and a unique ball screw
mechanism which provide remarkably low operating torque. The FLS
valve is used in high pressure, large bore applications requiring actuation.
FL Gate Valves sizes 2-1/6" to 4-1/16"; 2000 to 5000 psi WP
FLS Gate Valves sizes 1-13/16" to 9"; 2000 to 20,000 psi WP
FLS-R Gate Valves sizes 4-1/16" to 11"; 5000 to 15,000 psi WP

M and M 215 Gate Valves

Expanding-style gates are used in the Cameron M and
M215 cast body manual gate valves. The Pow-R-Seal gate
design provides a positive seal against the upstream and
downstream seats simultaneously as the handwheel is
tightened. This seal is unaffected by line pressure fluctuations and vibration.
The M215 gate valves share many of the same features
Expanding
as the M and have a lower balance stem to reduce
Gate
operating torque.
M Gate Valves sizes 2-1/16" to 4 1/16"; 2000 to 5000 psi WP
M 215 Gate Valves sizes 1-13/16" to 3 1/16"; 10,000 psi WP

Large Bore Gate Valves

Cameron is the industry leader in the design, manufacture and installation
of large bore gate valves for surface applications. Cameron FLS and FLS-R
gate valves have proven themselves time and time again in demanding
applications such as high temperature/high pressure, and formation
fracturing in various parts of the world.
Cameron offers a family of valves to meet the needs of the large bore
market. For actuated surface applications, the Cameron FLS valve is
paired with the Cameron Willis Saf-T-Gard hydraulic actuator. For manual
surface applications, the FLS-R gate valve offers low torque opening and
closing due to the unique ball screw mechanism and lower balance stem.
Both the FLS and the FLS-R offer the same field proven features. They
are designed to API 6A and 17D specifications and are slab gate, full bore
through conduit valves. They offer full bore operation, unlike reduced
bore API 6D designs.
Cameron has completed an extensive testing program for the large
bore gate valve design, including API 6A Appendix F qualification testing.

Saf-T-Gard Actuators
Cameron designs and manufactures a full range of Saf-T-Gard pneumatic
piston and diaphragm actuators and hydraulic and wireline cutting
actuators. These actuators can be used on the full line of Cameron gate
valves in wellhead and pipeline applications. Cameron actuators are
designed to be interchangeable and offer a wide range of flexibility.

The MA pneumatic diaphragm actuators simple design and operating

principle make it inherently trouble-free. This series is available in a
variety of actuator diameters and configurations to meet a variety of
service requirements.

Hydraulic Saf-T-Gard Actuators

Actuator Bonnet Assemblies

Actuator bonnet assemblies on Cameron FL, FLS and M gate valves provide the interface between the gate valve and actuator. These bonnet
assemblies are compatible with Cameron hydraulic and pneumatic
actuators. They can also be used on other manufacturers direct-acting
and reverse-acting gate valves.
The bonnet assembly isolates all of the well bore fluids in the valve
body from the actuator. Field-proven performance, combined with
innovative technology, allows Cameron actuator bonnets to match
specific gate valves metallurgical and elastomeric requirements to
extend wear life.

Pneumatic Saf-T-Gard Actuators

Cameron pneumatic Saf-T-Gard actuators are available in piston and
diaphragm designs.
The MP pneumatic piston actuators are interchangeable and operate
with many types of supply: gas, compressed air, nitrogen, or well gas.
These actuators are designed to meet a wide range of service requirements and are available in single and dual piston versions in a variety of
sizes and pressure ranges.

Cameron hydraulic Saf-T-Gard MH series of actuators offers an intrinsically

safe design that can be used in hazardous areas. All Cameron hydraulic
actuators are interchangeable with standard bonnet adapters. The MH
series is available in single and dual piston models and in rising and nonrising stem configurations. These actuators offer an innovative, featurerich design that offers the power required to operate safely and reliably.

Wireline Cutting Actuators

Cameron offers two models of hydraulic wireline cutting actuators:
the MSVW and the MHW.
The MSVW is an actuator for a surface safety valve. It is modular
and features interchangeable spring and wireline cutting modules for
easy conversion from wirecutting to non-wirecutting applications.
The MHW is a wireline cutting version of the MH series piston
hydraulic actuator. It is a single piston design which minimizes the
amount of fluid required to compress the large power spring.

Cameron Willis Subsea Control Chokes

Cameron Willis offers two types of subsea control chokes, non-retrievable
and retrievable. The non-retrievable choke is permanently attached to a
subsea structure. The retrievable chokes are designed so that the trim,
actuator and retention mechanism can be retrieved to the surface for
maintenance and upgrading.
Cameron Willis designs and manufactures actuators for use with their
line of subsea production control chokes. Three designs are available: the
RD250 Gearbox, the Aqua-Torq and SSLCA.

Cameron Willis Subsea Control Chokes

Cameron Willis subsea chokes are used in production, water injection,
gas injection and gas lift applications. Non-retrievable designs are used
primarily in shallow water or as part of a retrievable manifold/module
assembly. Retrievable chokes feature a retrievable insert and a fixed
choke body.
Both retrievable and non-retrievable subsea chokes are available with
plug and cage or external sleeve trim packages. Retrievable chokes are
available with two types of connections for attaching the retrievable
insert to the choke body: Crown Connectors and Clamp Connectors.

RD250 Gearbox Actuator

The RD250 Gearbox actuator was developed for diver or ROV operation.
In this design, the gearbox is oil-filled and pressure-compensated. An
external, local position indicator on the case allows precise choke settings
to be easily read.

Subsea Retrievable Choke

with Clamp Connector

SSLCA Actuator
The Subsea Stepping Linear Choke Actuator (SSLCA) was developed for
use on the Cameron Willis non-retrievable control chokes. The design
of the SSLCA actuator includes independent open and close piston
assemblies, providing a double step operation on the close piston
for rapid shut-in of the choke.

Aqua-Torq Actuator
The Cameron Willis Aqua-Torq Actuator is a compact and field-proven
hydraulic actuator which provides actuation in precise incremental steps
from open to closed. It is suitable for mineral oil and water-based
control fluids.
The Aqua-Torq Actuator is oil-filled and pressure-compensated and has
been endurance tested to a minimum of 1 million actuation pulses and
hyperbaric tested to 10,000 ft (3000 m). It incorparates a local, external
position indicator and is available with an internal LVDT remote position
transmitter.

Remote Position Feedback

Cameron Willis offers a remote position feedback sensor as an option for
the Aqua-Torq and SSLCA actuators. These sensors are robust, reliable
and field-proven. They have been tested to simulated water depths of
10,000 ft (3000 m).

Fast Close Module

An operator may be faced with closing the well faster for HIPP systems,
direct hydraulic systems, or oil fields with steep gradient flowlines. With
this in mind, Cameron Willis offers a Fast Close Module that can be used
with Aqua-Torq and SSLCA actuators. The Fast Close Module ensures
that the operator can close a choke within 30 seconds without damaging
the choke or causing excessive pressure drops within the hydraulic supply
system.
