D(a)emons Origins

Created by the three brothers, Sylvian, Daniel and Gregory after they cut a pact
with the Darkness (of trading their world in order to create a better one, that
would also cleanse the other realms of the human filth by purging). Initially
named by Sylvian Daemons, because of their superior attributes compared to
the life forms they encountered, the name was altered in time to Demons by
other rational species, after their violent encounters with the Cleansers of the
Universe. After the worlds fell one after another to the vengeful spirit of the
three, now godlike brothers Sorrow, Death and Grief , the protective forces of
the Realms focused their attention on the oddly-born race, to immediately identify
the work of the Dark forces in their doings. In their many attempts to put an end
to their rampage, the Goddesses were constantly defeated by the intellect of
Sorrow, the brute force of Death and the slyness of Grief; they went as far as
forging their own race, meant to fight on equal grounds with the demons. Gifted
with abilities opposite to those of the demons, the new race would counter the
effects of the demons destruction, heal the damage and recover the barren lands,
until they could finally grow a force strong enough to fight the demons head on.
The Darkness instead noticed its claimed lands were growing life again and so
drew his followers attention towards that fact. Sorrow, whose connection with
the Dark was the most profound, could gaze over the realms theyve passed and
observe the work of the new, humanoid-like beings of the Goddesses, rejuvenating
the worlds.
Furious for having his tracks covered in such an obvious way, Sorrow made a plan
with his brothers, to fight the Menders before they would grow in power and
influence. In truth, the folks that would grow from the seeds planted by the
Menders wouldve been carefully watched by the Goddesses, in order to teach
them to defend themselves against the demons and, ultimately, to fight against
them. Should they succeed, they would be outnumbered far too much. The time
flow being relative, they did not know how much the advantage would grow. They
had to act swiftly and pause their progress.
Death proposed that they return and once again clear life off those planes; but
Sorrow knew that would give the Goddesses time to prepare the further realms
for their arrival. Sorrow believed the fighting ground should be taken to the realm
of the Gods themselves; with the aid of the Darkness, they couldve limited their
power and the demon legions could march through the realms unhindered. Yet
the time to teach the demons to fight on a world where the laws obeyed their
mind was beyond what could they afford, plus the instability of the battle ground
was concerning: how would beings of the Dark fare in a realm bathing in light?
Then Grief brought an idea that tickled the egos of the other two: what if they
would convert the Menders, taint them, corrupt them beyond cleanse, so that the
once revivers of the Universe would turn its back on their creators in order to
destroy the world alongside their greatest enemies?
And so it was.

The demons invaded one of the realms the Menders were healing, identifying
their location and blocking them from leaving with the Darkness direct
involvement. They were captured and tortured beyond by Sorrow beyond sanity,
in all ways possible, from physical to mental torture. In time, their minds were
touched by the Dark and so they became followers of Sorrow, Death and Grief,
using their abilities to aid the demon armies, passing on their knowledge to the
three Demon God, aiding in the capture of the rest of the menders and finally
reverting their previous work to its barren status. The Darkness rewarded his
disciples by granting them even more power, draining the forces of the Goddesses
and paving the path to lifes absolute end.
NOTES:
o Demons do not age.
o Demons have different natures, to serve to different purposes, each of the
first demons being designed by the three brothers.
o Demons have genders.
o Being built by the human model, but improved functionally, they possess
reproductive abilities, yet their aging is ceased by the Darkness direct
influence, once they reach their functional peak.
o The demons traveled from a world to another by the portals Sorrow could
open, using the Darkness energy.
o The demons never settled in any of the destroyed realms. Their purpose was
to destroy, not to conquer. They were apocalyptic nomads.
o The demons souls, bodies and minds were molded from the same amount of
energy the destroyed realm of the three brothers had.
o Regularly, the mating of two rational beings would cause a soul from the
Universal Soul Well to be sent in the new body, to be reincarnated. If the
two souls reproducing are Soul Mates, they would generate the birth of a
brand new soul, with no previous lives.
o The reproduction of the demons has been altered by Sorrow so that each
new demon body added to the legion would have a body and soul combined
from his parents, in order to prevent outer influence from being added
inside his people.
o While they were focused on destruction, causing suffering and reveling in
doing so, the demons manifested different reasons for that; according to the
reason, they would be placed under the direct command of either of the
brothers.
o The Protective forces are godlike beings, far older than any known race,
solely represented by females; they grow in number by recruiting chosen
souls through all Universes.
o Their number is unknown, because the number of worlds is unknown. The
recruiting is an automatic process, triggered by the Core of each Universe,
once a rational being resonates with it.

o They cannot interfere in the material world, because they are not allowed to
influence the life of mortal races.
o Yet, the interference of the three, immortal brothers has allowed them to
partly take the conflict into the material realms.
o The Menders were demi-godlike beings, and just like the demons, their
immortality was fueled by the Goddesses; their abilities were mainly
healing, mind manipulating, metabolism acceleration, realm traveling,
tracking the Darkness.
