P1 Preparation

This week we
begin to learn
(T.willAndy)
about animal habitats and the
different animals that live in them. I
will show the students videos of
the different habitats that we will
learn about so that they can
experience a more immersive
understanding of them. We will
discuss the different attributes of
certain animals that make them
suited to live in their particular
habitat, and compare and contrast
animals using creative charts. I will
ask the students to consider the
kinds of habitats that they can see
locally to where they live, and then
also any others that they might
have visited, and comment on the
animals that they see/saw.

Mother, father, sister, brother, baby, grandmother, grandfather, family, arms, legs,
head, shoulders, knees, nose, eyes, ears, feet, toes, fingers, body.
Grammar
This week in grammar the students will be
studying adjectives. I will begin by teaching
them a variety of adjectives and when to
use them, for example: big, pretty, fast,
ugly, strong, fun, fun, light, little, heavy,
short, weak, tall, boring etc. I will teach the
students how they can use adjectives to
describe physical things, but also emotions
and feelings. We will discuss opposites and
which adjectives describe different things,
including when it is
appropriate/inappropriate to use particular
adjectives, and also how some adjectives
(eg: light) can have multiple meanings in
different situations
