Acute Exposure:
Adverse reactions reported in humans treated with oral pentosan polysulfate include peripheral oedema,
headache, dizziness, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea and elevation of liver function tests. Pentosan Polysulfate
has weak anticoagulant activity; transient prolongation of bleeding time is a adverse health effect.
