ascertain the correct ascendant which is rising at the time and place where the astrologer is
drawing up the ruling planets
Even though Guruji originally advocated 4 ruling planets, later he suggested the
inclusion of the 5th RP, which is the strongest in power, as the Ascendant Star Lord. Thus,
ruling planet usually means, in descending order of power:
Ascendant Star Lord
Ascendant Sign Lord
Moon Star Lord
Moon Sign Lord, and the
Day lord
For pin pointing the time of events that are expected to happen within the next 24
hours, we need to see when a proper lagna sign, star and sub comes that contains in it the
ruling planets that we received at the time of judgment. In other words, if one is expecting
something to happen within the next 24 hours our focus should be to trace the ascendant that
will comprise of sign lord, a star lord and a sub lord who were found in the list of RPs during
judgment. This is because within 24 hours lagan moves over all the 12 signs, 27 star and 249
subs.
Let me take the first example. On 24th February 2007, I came to know in my office
that I will have to meet my Associate Dean on Monday 26th February 2007 for an important
issue. My AD gave me a time of 9:30 am in the morning on Monday. Later on 25th, a Sunday,
I thought why not I find out the exact time when the meeting will actually happen tomorrow?
So, after my dinner that evening, I sat for finding out the time of meeting my AD the next
day. The RP on 25-2-2007 at 9:50 pm in Hyderabad, Somajiguda was as follows:
Ascendant Star Lord: Mars
Ascendant Sign Lord: Venus
Moon Star Lord: Mars
Moon Sign Lord: Venus
Day Lord: Sun
Out of these 5 RPs I rejected Venus since it was in the star of retrograde Saturn. So, I
was left with only Mars and Sun. Mars Sign Mesha started from 9:15 am the next day
whereas Suns sign Leo started from 5:20 pm the same day. My office gets over at 5:00 pm,
so I was sure that Suns sign will not be the time. Moreover, Leo does not have a Martian
constellation. As a result, I had no alternative but to choose Mesha lagna as the sign when the
time to meet will come. Next, in Mesha sign I looked for Suns star. I saw that Mesha sign
and Sun star will operate from 10:45 am to 11:40 am. Therefore, to finally pinpoint the exact
time, I chose Mesha sign, Sun star and Mars sub (because Mars appeared twice and was the
only ruling planet) which started from 10:50 am. The next day when I was waiting outside
my ADs cabin, I was called inside for the meeting precise at 10 50 am on 26th February
2007.
Many such incidences can be cited. However, upon close scrutiny it can be found that
a few fundamental rules must be followed while using RPs for making predictions for events
that are expected to happen within 24 hours. Some of the rules that hold good are as follows:
1. The lagna point must contain the ruling planets only.
2. The lagna sign star and sub lords should be chosen according to first come
first serve basis depending upon the hierarchy in which they appear in the RP
list during the time of judgment.
3. A ruling planet is strong by virtue of its level of appearance and not how many
times it has appeared.
4. However, when a ruling planet repeats itself, the lagna point must also contain
the same repetition
I hope this article will help the readers of KP Ezine to use RPs more fruitfully. I thank
Shri Kanak Bhai Bosmia for being very kind and cooperative in publishing this article.
