Open testimony for Aida Dominguez.

Aida Dominguez worked with me from around January to July 2014 as a student volunteer supporting the
operation and organisation of the 4th Conference and Exhibition on Lubrication, Maintenance and
Tribotechnology (LUBMAT 2014). This is a series of international meetings focused on industrial engineering
professionals which takes place alternately in the UK and Spain, nominally every two years. The 2014 event took
place in the Hilton Deansgate Hotel in Manchester, UK. and was attended by almost 150 people. Throughout the
organisation and operation of the event Aida showed great commitment and initiative.

Prior to the event Aidas responsibilities were varied, but mainly associated with social media, they
included:

developing a social media plan collaboratively with me and organising a calendar of tweets,
generating a sporadic content of tweets based on LUBMAT's Twitter feed.
participation in the preparation of a corporate video,

During the three days of the conference in Manchester, Aida also helped the Event Co-ordinator with practical
matters such filling the delegate bags, organising the exhibitors room, setting up the registration desk, and
passing requests/instructions to venue staff. She also staffed the registration desk during the event helping to
register delegates and answer questions. In some cases Aida was able to speak with delegates in their native
language. (Aida has knowledge of: English, French, German and Spanish).
During the event Aida also delivered live Twitter feed about LUBMAT, including pictures. Following LUBMAT
she also uploaded photographs of the event on the LUBMAT 2014 Flickr account.
I believe that Aida found her time with us as a volunteer to be a valuable experience. Her involvement helped her
to develop and exercise social skills in a real operational environment and allowed her to get used to social media
tools such as Hootsuite which was used to schedule tweets.

I have no hesitation in recommending Aida for a role within Public Relations, especially where this involves the
use of social media.
