This is a collection of drawings I have done for different people who were perplexed by their

system, and needed a helping hand to show them one way they could do it. Please keep that in
mind when you view these drawings. There are better ways (sometimes) but not with the
equipment they had to work with..I would never use a second DP34 switch to add one more
satbut if the man has three of them and no multiswitches, you play the cards youre dealt. :-)
These drawing are in a sort of order, starting with the simplest and getting more involved as we
continue. I have included some DP set-ups, and a few sub and FTA mixtures. If nothing else, you
should get some ideas of how to approach your individual system, by applying some of these
methods. All of my drawings are functional drawingsanother way of saying I cant read the port
numbers, but no matter the drawn port, follow the symptomatic pattern.consistency counts.
1-4 Satellites with one receiver (Legacy LNBs).
You realize you need no extra gear if you only have one LNB and one receiver. Add another to the
mix and things get more interesting.

I call this His & Hers.

We have both receivers getting 110/119 but she gets 121 while he get 97.
Single LNB to different receivers (Legacy dual LNBs):

2 Satellites and one receiver or 2 receivers (Legacy LNBs):

2 Satellites and 1 receiver or 3 Satellites and 1 receiver (Legacy LNBs):

2 Satellites and 3 receivers two versions (Legacy LNBs):

3 Satellites and 3 receivers, expandable to 4 receivers, 2 versions (Legacy LNBs):

3 Satellites 3 receivers using a DP Quad:

Note: I normally put 119 on port 1
110 on port 2
and the odd-ball on port 3..it was easier to draw this way.

3 Satellites and 3 receivers + 4 Satellites and 4 receivers (Legacy LNBs)

9 Satellites 4 receivers using a combination of Legacy Duals and two DP duals:

1 Sub, 2-3 FTAs, with 2-4 LNBs---All three receivers get 110/119, one FTA gets a separate
satellite (97?) with the expansion of a C-system going to the 1 or 2 FTAs in the future ( C
control will be done by one receiver).
3 Legacy subs and 1 FTA with 2 sats 110/119

1 DP Sub with 3 FTA receivers getting a third satellite that is DP or Legacy:

1 DP Sub with 2 FTA receivers getting a third satellite from a DP dual:

2 Legacy Subs getting an extra satellite, with 2 FTAs getting their extra satellite ( all receive
110/119):
There is now an sw-31 switch that replaces the sw-21 and sw-21x.

3 Satellite, 2 DP Subs with 2 FTAs getting a third sat of their own. By using a dual standard
linear the 3x4 multiswitch disappears.

3 DP Subs with 1 FTA getting a third satellite- 2 versions, Legacy or DP:

Superdish DP Sub with 3 FTAs getting a third satellite of their own:

I was asked to show a drawing using a QPH-031, an sg-2100 and one sub with one FTA.
Then there was the request using 2 FTAs and controlling the QPH with either 22KHz
switches or DiSEqC switches.
