NECESSITY FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH
Gujarat Employers Organisation (GEO) was conceived in 1979 80, with view to promote solidarity
amongst employers and to facilitate cordial relationship between employers and employees. GEO strives to
build amicable work relations, enriches human skills and attitudes, provides a platform to connect and
collaborate, addresses critical concerns jointly and develops a harmonious industrial environment. These
endeavors ensure the path to progress and prosperity through co-operation. GEO has focused its aims &
objectives to face the new challenges of industry. It has reoriented itself from Industrial Relation (IR) to
Human Resource Development (HRD) so as to provide expert legal advice and assist in the selection of
personnel, training and development of human resources, acquisition of knowledge, improvement of skills
and efficiency and bringing about a change in work attitudes. To keep pace with rapid changes around the
country, GEO provides services like Time & Motion studies, Psychometric Tests, Aptitude & Attitude Tests,
and implementation of 5-S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing & other quality tools.
It also tries to maintain an association of all industries situated within Gujarat, solves IR issues in lawful
and constitutional manner and disseminates useful information connected with trade and industry
acquired through State and Central Governments and other sources.
GEO is in the service of industrial sector for last 33 years.

Shri K. Ramkumar, Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Bank and is the President of ICICI
Foundation.
Shri Ramkumar has completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from
Madras School of Social Work in 1984. He has joined the Board of Directors with effect from
February 1, 2009.
Prior to joining ICICI Bank in 2001, Shri Ramkumar has served companies such as Hindustan Aeronautics, Brooke
bond Lipton India Limited (now Hindustan Unilever Limited) and ICI India Ltd. His work in these companies has
mainly been in the areas of Human Resources Management and Manufacturing.
Leadership Development, Succession Management, building a supply chain for the Banks human resources
requirements, leveraging technology to innovate, and driving operational excellence for world class service quality, are
his passion.
Institute for Finance, Banking & Insurance and ICICI Manipal Academy for Banking & Insurance were conceived and
nurtured by him. The partnership Initiatives with SEBI National Institute for securities management and with NIIT the NIIT University, was also nurtured by him. He led the CSR project of ICICI Foundation on skilling youth and
promoting livelihood. This is done under the ICICI Academy for Skills, which has 9 centers offering 7 skills to 7500
youth per year.

Shri Tribhuvan Kabra Chairman, RR Kabel Limited, a part of Rs. 3000 crore Ram Ratna
Group. He heads the family-run well- diversified industrial conglomerate with domestic and

He is also managing director in Ram Ratna Wires Limited, manufacturing Winding Wires & Strips which are major inputs to
Electrical rotating Machines & equipment and Static Equipments like, Transformers, inverters, UPS, coils, relays etc
contributing to Agriculture, Railways, Mining, Defense, Electric Power generation, Transmission & distribution, Space
application & satellite net works.
Emulating his respected father Shri Rameshwarlal Kabras footsteps, Shri Tribhuvan Kabra and his group is majorly
contributing in field of education also, with ONE TEACHER SCHOOLS concept, dedicated and educated individuals work
towards upliftment and civilization of the Indian Tribal population. With Ram Ratna Vidya Mandir, the group has helped to reintroduce the concept of GURUKUL with emphasis on the education of Indian culture and heritage. The group has adopted
several deserving students in far off rural areas of Bihar, to help them become capable and responsible individuals, and
contribute towards growth of their families and the nation. The group has constructed a Primary School at Shahpura in
Rajasthan & handed over it to Rajasthan Government, for this educational bustle Rajasthan Government had honoured him as
BHAMASHAH. In true source the group values the power of Human Resource, be it for the group or for the nation.
A graduate from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for engineering, and then to graduate school in
human resources. After that, she went to INSEAD business school in France, one of the top five
business schools in the world.
After INSEAD, she worked in Belgium and traveled to 40 countries, working in corporate finance, and supply chain,
and logistics development at Inbev. Shalini spent six and a half years in Europe with her husband.
But, she wanted to come back to India. So she took a job with PepsiCo in India, where she's been for five and half
years first in supply chain, a couple years in sales, then to Karnataka and Kerala regions where she is CEO.

Shri L Prabhakar is Vice President Human Resources at the Agri-Business Division of ITC Limited, a
leading Indian conglomerate, and is a member of the Management Committee of that business. An
alumnus of KREC Suratkal and XLRI, Jamshedpur, he has been associated with ITC for 19 years in
different capacities across businesses including Information Technology and in their Corporate Office.
He has also worked with TVS Motors for 4 years and Murugappa Group (EID Parry and CUMI) for 3
years.
He has been actively associated with National HRD Network - Indias leading body for HR professionals since
2007 in different capacities, and was the National Treasurer from 2011-2013. He is now the Regional President
South for NHRD. He was a co-opted member of the Executive Committee of Hyderabad Management Association
for 2012-13. He was also associated with the CEO Forum on Human Rights under the aegis of Global Compact
Network India. He was earlier associated with CII at Chennai and Kolkata, and is currently a member of CII HR &
IR Panel for Telengana.
He enjoys listening to music and watching sports and other TV shows.
