I am always aware that soft skill is essential to my research as well as the successful
career in future hence I am trying to build up soft skill by willingly give presentation
in class or actively taking part in extra-curricular activities. Besides, self-studying
and team-work skill are also attributed to my research achievements.
Majoring in Civil Engineering, I always enhance my background with academic
knowledge relating to structural mechanics, construction materials, reinforced
concrete structures, etc. This foundation knowledge urges me do deeper research. In
addition, I also self-equip the essential skills of using relevant software such as
SAP2000, ETABS, PLAXIS.
In studying, knowledge of structural designs and foundation designs always attract
me. At the moment, I am doing research in foundation design.
In conclusion, with my background, I am looking forward to becoming an intern in
Global Mitacs Research Program in Canada in next year.
