Who are we?

Centro Social Marello is a non-prot social assistance entity, which receives

teenagers and children who are in a socially vulnerable situation. We aim to
give this group service for human development and socialization. We aim to
ensure them a better future and to provide them with the opportunity to
develop their personal skills and abilities.

Our history

The Congregao dos Oblatos de So Jos created the Centro Social Marello CSM, on the 30th of May 1995 to provide a dierent education to teenagers who are in a risky social situation. Back then it was merely a handful of teenagers from 12 to 17 years. Nowadays, there
are 150 teenagers and children from 6 to 15 years-old attending this institution. They are divided in two groups, the morning and the
afternoon, with the application of social-educational activity through classes, which include:

Our mission is to educate in human development in a stable and controlled environment for a better society. We aim to exist
as a cooperated institution with human values and develop a new generation through the Christian vision.

Specific objectives
Provide teenagers and children with the opportunity of developing social and human formation through social-educational activities
Provide the opportunity of developing social education, goal of learning, logical reasoning, concentrating and memorizing; consolidating
and amplifying knowledge and cultural experiences; invoking them to overcome the obstacles through education
Provide the opportunity of developing their personal skills; stimulate their reasoning, their perception, their creativity and their
imagination by participating in cultural and artistic activities
Promote better health and life quality by eating nutritional meals
Promote social integrity through friendship and mutual respect
Provide a good treatment to develop the socialization and inclusion, to ensure a better future
