INTRODUCTION
This traffic collision occurred on Friday June 30, 2011, at approximately 0730 hours. This collision occurred on 4th
Cross St between 1st Cross St and Main St, within the incorporated City of Colombo.
This collision involved a 2008 Bentley Continental GT (V1) and a 2005 Hummer H2 (V2). The Bentley was
driven by ________________, henceforth referred to as Person 1. The Hummer was driven by
______________, henceforth referred to as Person 2. The passenger in the Bentley, seated in the front left seat, was
______________.
The Bentley was traveling southbound on 4th Cross St and had just finished going around a blind corner. Right after
going around the corner, Person 1 sees the Hummer parked in the middle of the street and immediately applies his
brakes.
PHYSICAL EVIDENCE
There were skid marks from V1 from before the impact occurred. This skid was measured by a roll meter
with a resulting distance of 2 meters. After the impact, the two cars went off the road and onto a grass lawn
where they skid an additional 3.2 meters together before coming to a stop.
Upon inspection of the vehicles, V2 was in the "park" position in the left lane of travel as you are heading
south facing the opposite direction of traffic with his warning lights on. The collision perfectly straight with
the front of V1 impacting with the front of V2. Being that there is no shoulder for this road, they
immediately hit grass after the impact occurred.
