On Septennber 24, 1988,

Phillipps University (Enid, Oklahoma).
He preached in
Illinois, Nebraska, Oklahona, and the Philippines.
Mrs. Carlson (Imogene Paulson) was born March 2, 1911,
in Cherokee, Iowa. She met Ray at CBS, where she also re
ceived the BA degree.
The Carlsons' three sons are Mark
Robin, Lawrence Ray, and Theodore Emi1.
The Ray Carlson family arrived in Cebu City, Philip
pines, on March 24, 1941. They had planned to do mission
v/ork on the Chinese Tibetan border, but they could not get

Larry suggested my going to Honolulu, be

On January 14 I came to California for a
month's visit with my family members and to
visit my living link church.

Ihc Carlsons established Cebu Bible Seminary in 1947.
There are now more than fifty churches in the Central
Philipnines, established with the aid of many Filipino
leaders. About 200 people have been baptized each year.
Mr. Carlson died on August 31, 1984.
He is survived
by his wife, three sons, and six grandchildren. The West
Seattle Cliristian Church spearheaded a drive to erect a
field house on the campus of Cebu Bible Seminary in his

year before he died.
