REGULATIONS
1. PURPOSE
Promote culture and skills of Tai Chi Chuan, managing the construction of a global social network for
all people who practice and enjoy Tai Chi Chuan.

Registration for the competition is U$s 30.00, which includes participation in an event; plus U$s15.00
for each additional event.
Covers entrance, safe and ground transportation from the hotel to the place of competition.
Group events, competition and demonstrations U$s 60.00 per team.

B. Individual Competition weapons

Men and women compete separately.
1 Events and runtimes:
o timeout to 42 movements Tai Chi sword is between 3 and 4 minutes.
o time limit for how Tai Chi movements 38 Kung Fu Fan is between 2.5 and 5 minutes.
o time limit for other forms of Tai Chi weapons is 3 to 5 minutes
C. Group competition for weapons
1. Each team consists of 6 persons for foreign teams of any age and sex.
2. Music is allowed, but the voice command is not allowed.
3. Events and time limits:
o Timeout for the form of 42 movements with sword is 3-4 minutes.
o Timeout for how to 38 movements of Tai Chi Chuan Kung Fu Fan is 2.5 to 4 minutes.
o Timeout for other forms with weapons of Tai Chi Chuan is 3-5 minutes.
D. Performance of groups of up to 40 participants
Each team consists of 40 people, including members of forms, weapons and push hands. There
is no restriction on age and gender. Music is permitted with a limit of 5-6 minutes.
E. Competition Push Hands
This competition will be separate for men and women.
There are 10 different categories for men and 8 women.
o A letter of consent must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for participants under 18
years.

The competition is single elimination. The four winners advance to finals. Both push hands
with one foot and push hands free, governed under the jurisdiction of victory March 2
rounds.
Duration: One minute per round fixed foot and two minutes per round to push mobile
hands.

DEMONSTRATIONS
o A scenario or the famous Tai Chi Masters opens to perform their shows. Registration is required
for this performance. The duration time limit is 10 minutes. Each show has a cost of U $ s 60.00
o

Tai Chi group demonstrations and unarmed also be welcomed to receive a registration form at a
cost of U$s 60.00 per group. The time limit is 10 minutes. A certificate will be presented to each
participant.

PLACE AND AWARDS

A) Criteria Jury
According to the general rules of Tai Chi Chuan published by the National Association of Tai Chi
Chuan, Taiwan, Republic of China.
B) Awards
1. INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION
a) Form and weapons
Awards First, Second and Third Place (a medal or cup and certificate) will be awarded in
each event. If more than 8 participants in an event, recognition (certificates only) will also be awarded
to the winners of the 4th, 5th and 6th place. A competition event may be canceled if less than 3
participants. If more than 20 people competing in an event, that event will be separated into 2 parts.
b) Push Hands
o If there are 13 or more participants in the event, the first 3 places will be awarded with
a drink or medal, the 4th, 5th and 6th positions receive a certificate. If participants in an event are
between 7 and 12, the first 4 places receive recognition. If participants in an event are between 5

and 6, the first 3 places receive recognition. A competition can be unified or canceled if less than
4 participants. If more than 20 participants, competition can be separated into 2 groups.
o Competition in forms and weapons in Group.
Each team must have at least 12 people (at least 9 for weapons), but for foreign teams at least 6
people are accepted. Each team will be called by name before the competition. The team not then
answer the 3rd call, be disqualified. The first 6 places will receive a medal and certificate if 8 or more
teams in the event. Recognition according to the amount of competition contestants will be given
minus 2. If more than 12 teams in a competition can be divided arming two groups.
c) Miscellaneous
o Participants must bring and be responsible for their luggage and music.
o Organizers will pay or accident insurance for all participants to cover accidents
occurring during the competition.
o Only competitors, group members show, referees, and medical equipment is allowed in
the competition area. The rest of the members and their staff are prohibited from driving on the
competition area.
o Schedule and locations for each event are listed in the competition program, however,
if considered necessary the organizers are authorized to modify the schema and place.
o All participants must have completed the check in and be ready 30 minutes before
each event.
o An identification card authorized by the organizer must be presented to enter the
competition area, otherwise the person will be unfit to participate.
o In competition Push hand, participants must follow the instructions of the Organization
to adjust and accommodate any conflict of times.
o During the competition, participants must not argue with the judge. Discuss and scream
against the Judges will be worthy of expulsion. A strong argument can be the participant and his
group to expulsion for 2 years after the World Cup Tai Chi Chuan.
o After finishing the performance for each event, competitors must leave the competition
area and be in their designated area. When names and awards are announced, the competitors must
go to the platform to receive recognition.
o Any competitor found using a fake ID will automatically be disqualified and punished
according to the rules of the World Federation.
o In case of an emergency incident, the competition will be stopped and no points will be
declared. The competition organizers rescheduled.
o All payments are non-refundable.
d) Arbitration:
o All arbitration or follow the rules of the International Tai Chi Chuan regulation adopted
by the Sports Federation of the Republic of China and the National Association of Tai Chi Chuan,
Taiwan, Republic of China Oriental.
o All situations not covered here will be discussed and decided by the Evaluation
Committee of the Competition.
