Goal is to get both Linebackers playside
Base Alignment = 30 or based on

Run: To = B Gap; Away = Free Hitter
Option = QB Player

Two QB crossovers = 5-step Get your body in the
THROWING LANE

From the gun


Shoulder turn = 3-step Turn your back to the QB and
run, hit #1 in the mouth
Catch and crossover (Any drop) = 5-step Get under
the CURL

Jack and Rover Coaching Points


1. ID the #1 Receiver Width
2. Read the EMOL to the triangle
3. Versus pass keep the chin on the
shoulder, pointed to the QB
4. Work to takeaway the 2nd level throw,
then break downhill on the short pass
5. You cannot get enough block recognition
with the DEs, OTs, and TEs
