Article 1: The Bodys Energy System

EFT Tapping is a therapy that integrates knowledge from various fields of

knowledge such as energy manipulation, psychology, hypnosis, and more.
The main principle behind EFT is that energy affects us profoundly, and by
influencing how it runs through our body, we also modify the quality of our
experiences.
Simply put, EFT tapping clears out the energy channels of the body, which
the Chinese call as meridians. These are similar to blood vessels because
they nourish every part of the individual, but unlike arteries and veins,
meridians also affect the health of his emotions, mind, and soul.
A Brief Look at the Meridians
Meridians course throughout the body and serve as tunnels of subtle energy.
There are two main energy types: yang and yin. They are polar opposites
and complement each other yang represents strength, forcefulness, and
heat while yin symbolizes suppleness, fluidity, and coolness. EFT deals with
these forces as well as other distinct energies. Each meridian is associated to
a major organ but they affect the entire individual energetically.
Yin Meridians in the Arms

Lung meridian (LU). L1 to L11 travels from shoulder to the thumb. It

influences the lungs, the throat and stomach.

Heart Meridian (HE, HT or H). H1 to H9 travels from the underarm to

the hands little fingers, but the meridian also includes points in the
heart and the gut.

Pericardium meridian (PC or P). The pericardium meridians 9 points

traverse the center of the arm and ends within the chest.

Yang Meridians in the Arms

Large intestine meridian (LI or CO). This meridian has 20 points from
the index finger and rises up through the arm, traverses the shoulders
and curves up to the face below the nose.

Small intestine Meridian (SI). The small intestine meridian (S1-S19)

travels up the pinky fingers up to the arm and the sides of the face.
The small intestines are also connected to this meridian even though
its not physically linked to the rest of the points.

Triple burner meridian (San Jiao, triple heater, triple warmer or triple
energizer or TB, TW, or SJ). It is mostly found behind the body,

specifically at the back of the neck, shoulders and arms, but a portion
extends to the sides of the face near the ears. 23 points cover this
meridian.
Yin Meridians in the Legs

Spleen meridian (SP). The spleen meridian winds up from the toe and
reaches up to the stomach and spleen. It ends at SP 21 located near
the armpit.

Kidney meridian (KI or K). The kidney meridian commences at the sole
of the foot and rises up the center of the body. It ends at point 27 near
the chest.

Liver Meridian. Liver meridian (LV or LR) This has 14 points in all, with
LV 1 starting on the side of the foots big toe and ends up within the
liver.

Yang Meridians in the Legs

Stomach Meridian. The stomach meridian (ST)s starting point is found

under the eye then diverges upward to the side of the head and
downward through the stomach, the legs and ending at the toes. It
contains 45 points.

Bladder Meridian (BL or UB). The bladder meridian is located mostly

within the back. It starts at the corners of the eyes, climbs up to the
crown of the head, and falls along the midline of the body to end at
the feet. This makes up 67 points in all.

Gallbladder merdian. The Gallblader meridian (GB) has 44 points that

begin from the side of the head, wind down the bodys sides, and ends
at the toes.

Governing vessel/Du (GV). The Governing vessel meridian is the main

passage of yang energy spanning 28 points in all. It starts from the
perineum, goes up through the persons back, loops along the head, and
ends within the upper part of a persons mouth.
Conception vessel/Ren(CV). The conception vessel meridian harbors yin
energy and is said to nourish the genitals and blood. It also begins from the
perineum then rises to CV 24 beneath the chin.
EFT points
These points are said to be the crucial locations where tapping can produce
effects that reverberate throughout the bodys meridians. Percussive

movements on these locations shake off congestions formed by stress,

unstable emotions, and other kinds of destructive energy.

EB Eyebrow (UB 2) Found near the beginning of the urinary bladder

meridian and the stomach meridian.

SE - Side of Eye (GB 1) Beginning of the gall bladder meridian, located

near the end of the triple burner meridian and the small intestine
meridian.

UE Under the Eye (St 1) The starting point of the stomach meridian.

UN Under the Nose (GV 26) This is where the large intestine meridian
ends and meets the governing meridian

CH Chin (CV 24). The end of the conception vessel and links to the
start of the stomach meridian under the eyes.

CB Collar Bone (Ki 27). The end point of the kidney meridian.

UA UnderArm (Sp 21). Where the spleen meridian ends.

EFT makes use of specific tapping techniques and other psychological

methods to deal with energetic imbalances. These activities achieve specific
beneficial results that vary from curing phobias to promoting a healthy
lifestyle. If youre interested, youll benefit by delving into EFT more deeply.
