The main idea of this short story called "The Marshall Plan Summer", was
the events that happened before the Marshall Plan and how the events led up
to it. As soon as a communist group called the NATO formed, Truman, for the
Marshall Plan, requested the aid to Europe to the Senate immediately
because he knew that the NATO couldn't bring anything but bad. This refers
to our thesis because because of Marshall's leadership, the Europeans won't
face NATO alone. They will be provided with help by America.
Chance for Peace". The book talks about the Marshall Plan as well as the
European Recovery Program. This helps our thesis because Marshall's
leadership let people to believe there was a chance for them to be able to
help Europe and for them to be at peace with them and for them to be able
to have peace and to be restored.

The main idea of this article was about surveys conducted by the American
Institute of Public Opinions finding out people's opinions on the Marshall
Plan, whether they favor it or not, and if they know about it which was
determined based on education. This is relevant to our thesis because it
showed what kind of legacy the Marshall Plan left on people and who knew
about it and who didn't. Most people were in favor of it and this shows
that George C. Marshall left a legacy behind with his plan.
countries. That is the first thing the Senate will discuss at their Foreign
Relations meeting and decide if the request passes or not. This helps our
thesis because it shows how George. C Marshall's plan to aid Europe is
getting noticed and this is because of him taking action and having
leadership and using it for good to help others.

This was a written transcript of Marshall's speech about aiding to Europe
and how America should help them and step up to the plate. He also talks
about how Europe doesn't have a confident or bright future and America
needs to restore that. This refers to my thesis because Marshall's
leadership shows that he doesn't only care for America, but also Europe
their fellow friend. His leadership helped restore what Europe had lost.

This site, made by the George C. Marshall Foundation, shows different ways
of George C. Marshall's speech. The speech states how America should come
to the aid of Europe since they are in desperate need of it. He says that
U.S. should insist in the return of economic health in the world and if
not, there would be no peace. This refers to our thesis because for one, it
shows Marshall created a legacy because there is a foundation after him
even today. It also shows that Marshall felt it was the U.S.'s duty to help
any place in need and he took leadership and encourage America to help
Europe.

This is George C. Marshall's speech, typed up, at Harvard University about
how America should aid Europe. His speech let people know that a neighbor
(Europe) is in need of help and someone needs to step up and it's America.
He uses his persuasive words to encourage people to take a stand. He wants
America to help restore Europe's economic confidence and that their economy
will actually have a future. This helps our thesis because it shows that
Marshall is a leader and he takes a stand in something he knows is right
and how his leadership helped the people of Europe.

This is a video on YouTube that has the audio of Marshall's speech at
Harvard University. The speech states that the U.S. should take a stand and
help out Europe as their continent's economic system is destroyed along
with everything else. This helps our thesis because for one, Marshall left
a legacy so much as that his speech is on a famous video viewing site today
and that his leadership allowed to help another continent when they were in
ruins.

Marshall Plan and Harry S. Truman making a request to Senate about the
Marshall Plan to aid Europe. Each document has something that has to do
with the Marshall Plan and some are even responses to it. This helps our
thesis because it shows how Marshall's leadership to take a stand by
helping Europe got many people's attention and that helped with his plans.

the Senate from Marshall's plan that the U.S. should provide $13.3 billion

enough financial stability to help rebuild itself. This refers to our
thesis because of Marshall's leadership, Europe was able to come
out of ruins from the war.

This article displays information about the economic growth in Europe
after the Marshall Plan. The growth went up 15-25% in the European nations
because of the loans distributed from the Marshall Plan. This connects to
our thesis because it talks about George Marshall's leadership and plan to
revive Europe and boost the countries' economies. It also is accurate
towards our thesis because of the legacy mentioned left behind by the
Marshall Plan; the boosting and the beginning of Europe's recovery after
World War II.

This was a written article that talks about how the Marshall Plan helped
every aspect of Europe. To its economy, materials needed, homes needed to
be built, and people needed to be fed; the Marshall plan allowed all of
those little things to happen. This helps our thesis because it shows
how much Marshall's leadership positively affected the lives of the
European citizens.

This document relates to our thesis because it is written about the
leadership of President Truman and General Marshall after the Cold War. The
article talks about why the Marshall Plan became intact: to help Europe and
to stop communism. They thought that the nations of Europe would stop
turning communist if they were given money to boost their economies and fix
their governments.

leadership of George Marshall. It talks about his actions and how he stood
up for Europe to stop famine and communism and to reboot all of Europe's
economy. Not only did he create this plan for Europe but for the world's
benefit. Because of his leadership, General Marshall was awarded the Nobel
Peace Prize and his legacy lives on as Europe's efficient economy continues
to become better.

The Marshall Plan not only brought stability but it brought peace right
after a war. The plan revitalized Europe's economies and it was one of the
most successful foreign peaceful policy initiated in the world. The legacy
of the Marshall plan is very much alive today through the peace and
prosperity of Europe. Not to mention that there are no wars or tension
between Europe and the Soviet Union and America. This connects to our
thesis because the Marshall Plan was a lifesaver for Europe after the
western half was destroyed and strewn in instability.

This article talks about Marshall's life and his military career and what
he has achieved and accomplished as secretary of state and defense and
chief of staff as well as the Marshall Plan. This relates to my thesis

Our thesis relates to this article because of the leadership and legacy
the Marshall Plan left. After the Soviets were quickly moving west and
partially taking over Europe, the U.S. came and saved Europe. Because of
the 13 million dollars given, European nations left in disastrous states
after World War II could return to the flourishing position is was in
before the war. Also because of the money, the Europeans rebuilt their
crops and agricultural farms and also political, economic, and social
infrastructure.

The leadership of General Marshall is evident in this document. Marshall
toured Europe after his retirement and after he thought his service for
America was done after the war. He saw people without homes, food, or hope.
He came back to America and proposed his plan in his commencement speech to
the Harvard graduating class of 1947. The money given to Europe because of
the Marshall Plan was used to rebuild schools, fix towns, repair factories,
and improve farming. The legacy of the Marshall Plan left Europe on its
path to peace.

In this passage, it is evident that the Marshall Plan affected many
countries in a very beneficial way. The British foreign secretary at the
time said he "grabbed [the proposals] with both hands" because it was the

because the leadership America had three years after the war gave the
distraught countries of Europe an opportunity to rebuild themselves.

This passage talks about the legacy of the Marshall Plan. It relates to
our thesis because the author mentions that the Marshall Plan is a great
role model for the future world. The U.S. helped another country, a country
they were fighting against only three years before, by giving them 13
million dollars. The plan was to re-institutionalize the great and powerful
economies and governments of European nations damaged in World War II.
