Answer:
Entrepreneurship as an attempt to create value through recognition of business opportunity and through
the communication and management skills to mobilize human, financial and material resources necessary
to bring a project to realization.
Entrepreneurship is the process of creating something new with value by devoting the necessary time and
effort, assuming the accompanying financial, psychic and social skills and receiving the resulting rewards
of monetary and personal satisfaction and independence.
Entrepreneurship is the process of starting new businesses, generally in response to opportunities.
Entrepreneurs pursue opportunities by changing, revolutionizing, transforming, or introducing new
products or services.
Example- Hong Liang Lu of UTStarcom knew that less than 10% of the Chinese population was served
by land-line phone systems and that service was very poor. He decided that wireless technology might be
the answer. Now this company is the biggest cell phone in china with 66 million subscribers. Lus
company is moving into other markets, including Africa, southeast Asia, India and Panama.

Entrepreneur
An entrepreneur is a person who is enterprising and takes calculated risks of business. He manages the
affairs of his firm and bears all the risks. He is responsible for conceiving an idea, setting up an enterprise,
managing and running it efficiently and making a profit.
An entrepreneur is a person who takes risk for establishing a new venture or business in order to create
utility for the welfare of human beings as well for himself. He is always a creative person who seeks out
opportunities and takes on challenges.
Intrapreneur
A person who focuses on innovation and creativity and who transforms a dream or an idea into a
profitable venture by operating within the organizational environment.
A person with entrepreneurial characteristics who is employed within a large organization.

4. Discuss the concept of Group-entrepreneurship.


Group entrepreneurship
It refers to a group of people in a rural village, community, or urban area who manifest the characteristics
of entrepreneurship which are a desire to be self-employed, a willingness to undertake the process of
starting a new enterprise, a willingness to take calculated risks, and the ability to engage in a common
productive activity and to take responsibility for financial resources. The members of the group pool their
resources, obtain entrepreneurship training and assistance, write a business plan, and organize a small
business that can provide them with jobs as a group.
