DESCRIPTION OF DUCATO AMBULANCE - TRANSPORT VERSION

SHORT WHEEL LOW ROOF BASE

DRIVERS CABIN AND GENERAL FEATURES

Inside the drivers cabin there are two single seats complete with safety belts and
separeted by an intermediary multi-purpose tray. There is a 1 Kg homologated
extinguisher at the side of the right seat.
The electric system controlled from the drivers cabin is for the following installations:

3 blue coloured headlights, positioned on the special roof panel bases (2 on the front
and 1 at the back) and 1 dual-tone siren positioned between two front rotors in a
central position.
The vehicle dashboard features the specific switches complete with symbols and indicator light.

The installation also includes 2 original fog lights.

The ambulance is also complete with 1 origin heater and 1 blowing and suction roof
panel aerator for the sanitary compartment.
The sanitary compartment is sound-proofed by means of fibreglass and is separated from
the drivers cabin by a specific partition complete with rear window of sliding and partially
frosted glass for visual control.
The interspace of the partition features an upper passage for the canalization for the
installation of a conditioner (OPT).While the lower part features a basket made of metallic
mesh of suitable resistance, with special cradles for housing 2 oxygen cylinders. (lt.7 or lt.
14)

SANITARY COMPARTMENT

Sanitary compartment illumination:

There are 2 ceiling lights; the first on the front part of the roof panel in the vicinity of the
stretcher head, the other at the end of the roof panel in the vicinity of the rear doors.
The first ceiling light is operated by the electronic control box positioned in the sanitary
compartment.
The second comes on automatically on opening the rear of the sanitary compartment
and may also be operated by the electronic control box.
Both the ceiling lights have blue night controlled by the electronic control box.

manometer connected by means of a glass pipe to a rapid connection plug in which
the flow-meter/humidifer is inserted.

the flooring is of multi-layer plywood covered with a sheet of anti-slip fire-proof

DRIVERS CABIN AND GENERAL FEATURES

2 extra orange emergency lights, positioned at the rear of the roof panel on special
frame that light up with the push botton when the vehicle is in stop.
The vehicle dashboard features the specific switches complete with symbols and
indicator light.
The installation also includes 2 fog light.
The ambulance is also complete with 1 original heater and 1 blowing and suction roof
panel aerator for the sanitary compartment.
The sanitary compartment is sound-proofed by means of fibreglass covered in aluminium
on the two external sides and is separated from the drivers cabin by a specific partition
complete with rear window of sliding and partially frosted glass for visual control.
The interspace of the partition includes a passage on the top part for canalization for the
eventual installation of a conditioner (OPT). The lower part also features a basket made of
woven metallic tubing of suitable resistance, with special cradles for the positioning of 3
cylinders of oxygen or other medicinal gas (each with a compressed capacity of 14 lt.).

SANITARY COMPARTMENT

On top of the cabin there is an open compartment accessible from the sanitary
compartment for the storage of the compression mattress (OPT).

1 oxygen delivery panel with low pressure manometer, 3 rapid connection plugs with
1 flow meter/humidifier situated in the high part of the wall near the patients head.
1 universal instrument-holder rack with rails, to allow for the installation of
resuscitation appliances (OPT). (ie.lung ventilator, cardioscope defibrillator, etc).
1 service bar with 2 sliding inserts.
1 extra extinguisher of 1 Kg for the sanitary compartment.

C) Unit on the right side in fire-retardant polyester, with polyurethane reinforcements,

2 fold away seats positioned in front of the stretcher with abdominal safety-belts.
Alternatively the front seat may be driving direction type (OPT) with relative back.
1 open compartment with containing bar situated at the rear of the section near the
roof panel (long compartment for storage of the splint-bandage bag (OPT).
1 open compartment for the vertical positioning of the convex shaped anti-trauma
stretcher with access to the sliding side door (OPT).
1 open compartment for access to the extra folding type stretcher (OPT).
D) 1 roof panel covering in fire-retardant polyester moulded in alimentary white gelcoat.

E) Sanitary compartment flooring:

The flooring is of phenolic multi-layer plywood covered with anti-slip and fire-proof
linoleum.
The main stretcher (OPT) is positioned on a translator for the movement of the
stretcher from the left side to the centre of the vehicle. This translator is complete
with stretcher fixtures and anti-tilting system.
In the interspace between the stage end the traslator is situated, on specific slides,
the spinal table.
F) The centralized therapy oxygen system consists of:
A pressure reduction elementi with high pressure gauge connected by means of a
glass pipe to the oxyegen delivery panel consisting of: 1 low pressure gauge, 3 rapid
connection plugs, 1 flow meter/humidifier.
