Chicken Karahi

1 kg. chicken cut into bite sized pieces


- 1 tbsp. chopped ginger
- 1inch piece ginger, peeled and cut into small sticks
- 4-5 green chilies cut into half
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 tsp. black pepper, ground
- 2 tbsp. garam masala
- 4 tbsp. finely chopped coriander leaves
-2 tsp. salt
- 1\2 cup oil

1. Heat oil in a shallow frying pan or Karachi. Add chopped ginger and green
chili, stirring frequently fry for 2 minutes.
2. Add chicken and salt. Stirring frequently fry until the meat is well browned

3. Add chopped tomatoes, stirring frequently fry the meat mixture for about 10
minutes until the tomatoes are reduced to a pulp. Add a little water if
necessary to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan. Keep
frying until the oil begin to separate.
4. Add ginger sticks, chopped green chili, black pepper, garam masala and
little water. Reduce the heat to low, cover with a tight fitting lid and cook for 15
minutes until the chicken is tender. Sprinkle with finely chopped coriander
leaves
6. Serve hot with Nan or Chapati.

Traditional chicken karahi recipe in which chicken is fully cooked in chopped ginger, garlic and tomatoes along with
garam masala.
Ingredients
1 kg. chicken to find more about chicken, cut into small pieces
1/2 kg. tomatoes, chopped
2 green chilies, finely cut
2 tsp. fresh ginger to find more about ginger paste
1 tsp. salt to find more about salt
1 tsp. red chillies
1/2 tsp. black pepper to find more about black pepper powder
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup curd
Fresh green coriander leaves to find more about coriander leaves, finely chopped
Preparation
Put chicken to find more about chicken in Karahi and add 1/2 cup oil and fresh ginger to find more about ginger paste.
Fry the chicken to find more about chicken for about 10 to 15 minutes untill it become light golden.
Add tomatoes, red and black chillies, salt to find more about salt in it and keep it on fire until water of tomatoes dried
off.
Now add curd green chillies and coriander leave and fry for 2 to 3 minutes .
Serve hot with tandori nan.

Chicken (cut into 16 pieces) 1 kg

Green chilies 8

Tomatoes slice 1/2 kg

Oil 3/4 cup

Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp

Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp

Salt 1, 1/2 tsp

Crushed cumin 1, 1/2 tsp heaped

1.

Heat oil, add chicken and fry for 10 minutes.

2. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
3. Then add salt, green chilies, roasted crushed cumin and black pepper.
4. Cook over high flame till chicken is tender and oil starts to separate.
