Operator - Job Description
1.0 Summary
The Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the wireline truck at the service
location, rigging up the wireline truck and crane (as applicable) at the service
location, and assisting with all wireline operations both in the shop and in the field.
The Operator operates and maintains the assigned truck and equipment, as well as
keeps records for the overall operation.
2.0 Functional Responsibilities
Assembles perforating guns and tool strings under the supervision of the Field
Engineer/Pipe Recovery Supervisor in various field locations.
Drives Wireline Trucks and Cranes. Drives company pickups and pickups pulling
trailers.
Works under the direction of the Field Engineer/Pipe Recovery Supervisor safely,
efficiently and according to established standards and guidelines.
Rigs up and rigs down Wireline equipment and pressure control equipment under
the supervision of the Field Engineer/Pipe Recovery Supervisor.
Redresses tools in the shop and the in the field under the supervision of the Field
Engineer/Pipe Recovery Supervisor.
Completes all job related paperwork, drivers logs, and vehicle inspection reports.
Assists the Field Engineer/Pipe Recovery Supervisor in the troubleshooting of tool,
equipment, and truck problems.
Cleans and maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
3.0 Education, Professional Licensure and Certifications
High School/GED
Undergraduate degree
Graduate degree
PhD
Certifications:
Class A CDL with HAZMAT
H2S Certification
ATF Employee Possessor of Explosives
4.0 Required Skills
Experience 0-2 years
Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written instructions
and effectively communicate/present information one-on-one or in small group
situations.
Basic Math Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed
written or oral instructions. Ability to handle problems involving concrete variables in
standardized situations.
Basic mechanical aptitude
Forklift Operator

6.0 Supervisory Responsibilities

7.0 Physical Demands
This job is requires frequent heavy work. Employee will be exposed to high noise and
the potential of chemicals and fumes or gasses in a shop environment. Employee will
stand or walk 75% of the time and frequently be asked to bend, squat, reach or climb.
Employee will be on call for a 24 hour period.
