Qualified Adjectives

Listen to the descriptions of the following people.


1. I am a young girl. I am thin and tall. My eyes are blue. I have
got blonde hair, it is straight. I am pretty and friendly.
2. I am a young boy. I am short and plumb. I have got black
eyes. I have got short and black hair, it is curly. I am an
intelligent, nice boy.
3. He is a strong man. He has got beautiful eyes. He is tall and
handsome but he is not friendly, he is a grumpy person.

GRAMMAR
A adjectives in English are always placed before a noun they are modifying. Without any change,
the same adjective can modify a singular or plural noun, a feminine or a masculine one.

Adjectives order
Generally speaking, value adjectives (which indicate personal opinion) come first, followed by
size, age, shape, colour, origin and material. Compound nouns are never separated.
