UNLOCKING THE POWER OF LOCATION STREAM The organisers of the Locate15 Conference are proud to announce the speakers who will present within the Unlocking the Power of Location stream 11-12 March at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Unlocking the Power of Location stream at Locate15 will present current topics in surveying, examples of how technology is moving the field forward and the impact on residential and commercial real estate. In addition to the Stream Key Speaker and presentations, there will also be a Forum where the Surveyor-Generals or representative will highlight state and territory issues and direction and the state of play in their jurisdiction. The panel will also be the forum to discuss issues of National importance including the Cadastre 2034 and other issues facing the sector. STREAM KEY SPEAKER Prof Professor Naohiko Kohtake, Keio University, Japan Presentation: GNSS Applications and Capacity Buildings for Innovative Social Services Dr. Naohiko Kohtake is an associate professor and director of Smart System Design Laboratory at the Graduate School of System Design and Management of Keio University. He has worked in research and development on avionics systems for the H-II/H-IIA rocket at Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and on-board software at European Space Agency. He established Geospatial and Space Technology consortium for Innovative Social Services (http://gestiss.org) with Japanese government as one of founders in 2012. He is a steering committee member of Multi-GNSS Asia consortium and Sentinel Asia Project, and an adviser of Quasi-Zenith Satellite System Business Innovation Council. He is also visiting associate professor, Asian Institute of Technology.
