Issue 07 (2010-11-26))
When the M2000 is not deployed during the initial site deployment,
users can use the CME in standalone mode to prepare data in advance.
During network expansion and adjustment, users can import the data of
the existing network to the CME and adjust configuration based on the
data.
This document describes the working procedure of the CME in standalone
mode. It also describes the differences between the standalone mode and the
integrated mode in terms of operations such as obtaining the data on the
existing network, starting the CME client software, creating NEs, configuring
or modifying data, checking data, and exporting and activating incremental
scripts.
Before operating the CME in standalone mode, you must install the CME
software. For details about how to install the CME software, see the CME
V200R010C00SPC220 Installation Guide (Windows Standalone Mode).
Security Level
In the network expansion and adjustment scenario, you can obtain the
configuration data of the existing network first. After that, you can
import the configuration data into the CME and then add or adjust data.

Step 2 Run the following command in the Command Input text box:
EXP CFGSYNFILE
To export the configuration data of the RNC6810, you need to run the
EXP CFGDATA command on the M2000 client by using the Web LMT.
Step 3 Click Assist, and then select BCP from the File Type drop-down list box.
You need not enter other parameters.
Step 4 Click Exec.
When the progress reaches 100%, you can infer that the configuration data is
exported.
Step 5 See ftp://10.xxx.xx.xx/bam/version_x/ftp/ExportCMESyncView/ in the
address bar of the Internet Explorer (IE).
10.xxx.xx.xx is the actual IP address of the NE.
version_x is the version area, which can be queried through the LST
OMUAREA command.
Step 6 Type the FTP user name and password.
By default, the FTP user name is FtpUsr.

Security Level
The FTP password is set during the installation of the OMU application. For
details about how to set the FTP password, refer to the OMU Administrator
Guide of the relevant NE.
Step 7 Obtain the CMECfgSyncView.zip file.
For the BSC6900, you can use the File Manager tool on the Web LMT for
downloading required BCP files.
----End
Upon the startup of the CME client, the system automatically starts the
MSSQL service. You need not start it manually.
Users have obtained the license file of a standalone CME client and saved
the file to a local PC. If no license file is detected during the startup of the
standalone CME client, the CME displays a message requiring users to
specify the path of the license file. Users are advised not to change the
path of the license file.

Step 2 Set the NE parameters in the displayed Add NE dialog box, as shown in
Figure 1.1.
Figure 1.1 Setting the NE parameters
Click
in the upper left part of the dialog box. A dialog box for selecting source data files is
displayed.
Select one or multiple data source files.
In the case of initial site deployment, select a .zip file in the CME installation path\SAMPLE NE
directory.

13
Security Level
In the case of network expansion and adjustment, specify a path where an obtained configuration
file of the existing network is placed.
The source data files are displayed in the NE list. You can modify NE names in the NE Name
column.
The minimum configuration file in .zip format is released with the CME. The
CME provides the files of the GO, UO, and GU modes by NE type. The files
are stored in CME installation directory\SAMPLE NE\NE version and are
stored in the omu_single, omu_dual, and bam folders respectively according
to the OMU mode.
After the NE is added successfully, you can right-click an NE and then choose
Property from the shortcut menu. In the NE Property dialog box, you can view the
OMU mode of the added NE.

CME online help.
During the data configuration on the CME, the data on the existing network may be
changed by other users through other tools. In case the data of the existing network is
changed, a data conflict may occur when you activate the data configured on the
CME. The CME in standalone mode does not have the function of conflict check
between the current area and the planned area, which is available in the CME in
integrated mode. Therefore, be aware of that a data conflict occurs in any one of the
following situations:
Add a configuration object that already exists on the existing network. For
example, a user adds cell A, but this cell already exists on the existing network.
Modify a configuration object that is already deleted from the existing network.
Delete a configuration object that is already deleted from the existing network.
If any error occurs during the data activation process, you need to rectify the
erroneous command and then run it.

Issue 07 (2010-11-26)
15
Security Level
To activate the scripts in batches and improve the efficiency of data activation, you
can run the RUN BATCHFILE command on the LMT of each NE or on the Web
LMT of the BSC6900.

Data import/export:
When data exchange or data transfer is performed between different users, for
example, user B needs to import the configuration data of user A. In this case,
the data import and export function provided by the CME in standalone mode
can be used for data configuration. That is, the configuration data of user A is
exported from the CME of user A before being imported to the CME of user
B.
Backup/Restore:
The CME provide Backup/ Restore function to back up the whole CME
database and restore the database when a data error or system fault occurs.
These functions are exclusively provided by the CME in standalone mode.

If the data is modified but no incremental script is exported for activating the data, the
data import or export fails. The error message is shown in Figure 1.2.
In this case, you need to export the incremental scripts before importing or exporting
the data.

Step 2 In the displayed dialog box, select an NE data file that you want to update.
The CME updates the data based on the selected file.
Updating configuration data may lead to loss of the original NE data, because
if the name of an NE in the NE data file is the same with that of an NE on the
CME, the data in the NE data file will overwrite the data of the original NE on
the CME.
----End
Step 2 Select eNodeBs whose data is to be exported from the eNodeB list, and then
click OK. The dialog box for specifying a path is displayed.
Step 3 Specify the path for saving the EDS file, and then click Export. The CME
starts exporting the file.

Before exporting the EDS file, ensure that the eNodeB data to be exported passes the
check. Otherwise, the export may fail.

Step 2 Set the port number, user name, and password of the SQL service, and then
select Backup or Restore.

Step 3 Select the destination path for backing up data or the source database save
path for restoring data. The CME starts to invoke the SQL statement and to
back up or restore the CME database.
The data is backed up in .mdf format.

Step 2 In the lower-right area of the License Information dialog box, click Update.
The CME starts to update the license, as shown in Figure 1.1.
