RS232C-RS485 is required when connecting external devices with PORT2/PORT3,VT-TI of VT3 series in 1:N mode.
If external equipments are selected between PLC-A.PLC-B in the case of MultiTalk, PLC cannot be connected.
When VT3 handy Series uses MultiTalk function, RS-232C/422A/485/Ethernet connecting cable (OP-87191/87192/
87193), or relay terminal block (VT-T1) + cable with removable connector (OP-87194/87195/87196) is required
In addition, MultiTalk function cannot be used in VT3-V7R/W4T(A)/W4M(A)/W4G(A).
Point
26-2
When external equipments are connected to VT3. Handy Series/VT3-V7R, be sure to connect
to one terminal of the communication cable, and set the terminator ON.

When MultiTalk function is used, in order to determine the connected equipment on which an error occurs, "A:" or "B:"
will be added in front of the above error messages.
26-11
When external equipments are connected to VT3 by 1:N in the RS-485, they're generally connected to PORT4. But,
when PORT4 is used for Megabyte link or KL communication, serial I/F level converters are used to connect external
equipments to PORT2/PORT3 by 1:N.
