Conclusions
This study sought evidence of possible correlation
between the characteristics of information flow
between design team members and the degree of
success achieved in the detailed design phase of
civil engineering projects
The results show a direct empirical
relationship between the objective
measures of information flow and the
measures of the effectiveness of
design documents

Conclusions
Correlation between subjective impressions of a
project's success on the part of its participants,
including the client, and the quality of information
flows, could not be proven conclusively
