Netmetering
IfthephotovoltaicsystemisinstalledonyoursideofEWEB's
electricmeter,theelectricitywillbeusedinyourhomeorbusiness
first.
IfyourelectricusageisgreaterthanthePVsystemcanproduce,
therestissuppliedbyEWEB.
WhenyourusageislessthanyourPVsystemgenerates,the
excesselectricityflowsthroughyourelectricmeterintotheEWEB
electricalgrid.EWEBwillcredityouraccountforanygenerationin
excessofwhatyouuseonsiteoverthecourseofthemonth.The
amountofthecreditisadjustedannuallyuponapprovalbythe
EWEBBoardofCommissioners.Youretaintherenewableenergy
credits.

Incentives
Incentivesareavailableonafirstcome,firstservedbasis.The2015
incentivebudgetis$150,000.EWEBstaffwillperiodicallyreview
remainingfunds.Incentivelevelsaresubjecttochangeandmay
endatanytime.Applicationsfor2015arenowavailable(see
shadedbox).
Update(December29,2014):Wehaveallocated50percentofthe
2014incentivebudget.Pleasenote:systeminstallationsthatare
currentlyunderwaymustbecompletebyJan.31,2015toqualifyfor
the2014incentiverate.

Obtainabuildingpermitforthesystem,whichmustbeinstalledwithinEWEB'sserviceterritory.
Submittheappropriateprogramapplicationandreceiveapproval.
CompleteanEWEBInterconnectionAgreementandNetMeteringAgreement.
Uponcompletionoftheproject,allsystemsmustbeinspectedfirstbyCityorCountybuildingofficialsandthenby
EWEB.
