School Placements
Student Associatesundertake a 15 day school placement. All placements must take
place within the current acaclemicyear,
Each host school will provide a mentor who will help you plan your prcgramme for the
placement and introduce you to apprcpriate colleagueswho will be able to help you.

School Placement Log Book


Student Associatesare required to record their observationsand experienceswhilst on
placement. The tasks, and your entries, should be shared with their School Mentor.
At the end of the placement the Log Book (or photocopy) should be given to the SAS
Managerin order that your'Certificate of Achievement'and 'SchoolPlacementFeedback'
can De DreDareo.

The Log Book is divided into three parts 7, Ohservations


During the 15 Day placement some of your time will be spent observing, not only the
class that you are based in, but also in understanding the school as an institution.
