Mechanics for Verse Choir

There shall be 20 to 25 bonafide PCC students per group

One entry for every department/ college of PCC

Must have one literary prescribed piece.
Performance on stage is 5-7 minutes; 1 pt. deduction for every exceed of 30
seconds
Develop appropriate and interesting dialogues, parts, tonal
qualities, and rhythmic qualities.
Use a variety of small and large group parts.
Blend voices, pause together, and put emphasis on the same
words.
Speak with appropriate expression, tempo, and volume
After several practices, evaluate to see that voices are in
unison, that pauses are consistent among group members, and
that articulation/enunciation is not faulty. There should be no
solo or dominating voices.
Reflect the author's viewpoint and mood.
Use facial expressions and gestures that reflect the author's
emotions and intentions.
Minor use of props such as costume, accessorized folder, etc is accepted as long
as it does not require a major set up and changing of the stage setting. This will
delay the program flow.
No use of voice enhancer like microphone and the like.

-Interpretation - 30 %
-Delivery (Diction/Pronunciation/ Voice Projection) - 30 %

-Oneness/Precision of Movement - 20%

-Stage Presence` - 10%
-Costume - 10%

News casting
Minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 10.
Must be bona fide PCC students
One entry for every department/ college of PCC
Must be composed of a news casting team ( anchor men/ women, field
reporters, weather, entertainment, sports, etc
Must have digital animated background, introduction, advertisement, etc.
Must not exceed to 5- 10 minutes; 1 pt. deduction for every exceed of 30
seconds
CRITERIA
Delivery (Diction/Pronunciation/Enunciation/Voice Projection/ Fluency)- 35%
Content (Sensible Reports/ Grammar and Organization)- 35%
Stage Presence 15%
Overall Impact- 15%

Talk Show
Impersonate any celebrity or TV personality
Discuss issues related to politics, love, etc.
Must have only wholesome topic and wholesome
language
Only English is the medium to be used

 It is the contestants creativity to carry out a

dynamic conversation from serious to humorous
discussion in order to keep the show alive
A minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 contestants
per college or department
Design own set according to the concept of own
show
Must be bona fide students of PCC
CRITERIA
- Ability to impersonate in voice, dress,
mannerism, facial expression and gestures

- Content ( worthwhile and relevant to the theme
discussion/ organization/)- 30%
- Delivery ( spontaneity, diction, voice projection,
grammar, pronunciation) 30%
